Epcot early admission-are we OK for Remy if on the AKL bus by 8am? Or do we need to be earlier (and if so, what time). We don't mind waiting for 30 minutes or so with others, just want to beat the rush.

For rope dropping popular early entry rides, I’ve always heard (and done): get to your transportation one hour before early entry begins.

An added issue with rope dropping Remy from a bus is that it’s about a 20 minute walk from the front of the park to the France pavilion, and everyone entering from the back entrance of World Showcase has a huge lead on anyone coming from the front.

All the more reason to pad your bus boarding time with some extra.

If you want to be near the front of early entry crowds, be at your resort transportation 90 minutes before ETPE begins, so that you’ll be on the first bus, earliest Skyliner, etc. when it starts at one hour before ETPE. If you show up at the bus stop one hour before ETPE, there will be many in front of you, and even more in front of you when you actually arrive at the park.

If your goal is Remy, from AKL you might consider taking the earliest bus to DHS, then walking to the Epcot IG to be among the resort guests who enter there. (The Skyliner and boat will be available for transportation from DHS to IG, but both take more time than walking.)

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Ha ha, no. You would not be okay. You need to be inside the park a good 30-45 before early entry starts, at minimum. So no, you do not want to be boarding a bus at AKL at 8:00am. Back that up by at least 30 minutes, if not longer.

30 mins is not nearly enough time.

Arriving at resort transportation 90 mins before ETPE has proven to be key.

The challenge for you is that IG guests have a definite advantage to arrive at Remy first. As suggested by @CarolynFH, if you wish to visit Remy first forum AKL you’re best to go to DHS then wall, take Skyliner or boat to IG entrance. .

In my opinion (unless things have changed) If you are entering through main entrance and not the International Gateway, you may regret going to Remy first if everyone in your party is not fit enough to walk fast for a good amount of time. The walk from main entrance to Remy is very long and even those that get there first from main entrance have a big disadvantage for those entering through International Gateway. If you want to do Remy first, I would highly recommend getting to International Gateway (and not main entrance) 40+ before opening and you wont be dissapointed.

Thanks, All! We took 8am bus, got in a longish line at 8:27, wait was 45 minutes from start to getting on ride. If we'd gotten there at 8:40, wait would have been 35 minutes. Single rider line was walk on--will separate if all adults in the future and sleep in....Tuesday at Epcot had unexpected light crowds for spring break time.

Yeah, if you are OK with a 45-minute wait, then you could have probably gone at various times during the day with no issue (assuming it wasn't crazy crowded).

Like others mentioned, getting on an 8am bus would not get you to Epcot early enough to get to the front of the rope-drop crowd (let alone also having to walk to the back from the main entrance).
