Which one's better?

I did Discovery Cove and I LOVED it. I was wondering if anyone had done both and which one they preferred.

The amount of time with the dolphins is pretty much the same on both, however as you know at DC you have much more to do than just the dolphin swim, after your "classroom study" and your swim with the dolphins you basically get your shirt and pic and go, we did the dolphins in depth at Epcot last year for first time and while we really liked it(GF is a dolphin freak) and it was actually very informative and the time with the dophins about the same it was really sort of anti-climatic having already done DC but I felt it was a nice morning getaway for us

O.K., call me clueless but am I understanding this right? You can actually swim with Dolphins at Epcot???

I'm a newbie to all that is WDW. Me and my DH are going for the first time ever in September and I would love to do this.

WoW!!!!! There is so much to learn about wdw it is overwhelming.

Yes it's called Dolphins in Depth I believe, we did it last year. They tell you beforehand that is totally the mood of the dolphins that day as to how much interaction with the people that goes on. I think it was around 125 per person or so and there is a discount for booking with AAA. We were watching the Park channels in the room one night at the resort and saw it on there I called the next day and scheduled for the following day. It is at the Living Seas at Epcot can't remember the actual time but it was early in the AM.

I thought with Dolphin in Depth at Epcot you're just in shallow water and you interact with them, but do you swim with them? I did DC and the dolphins actually take you for a quick ride. Do they do this at Epcot? We were thinking of doing the Epcot one, but didn't want to be disappointed.

Thanks for your info :goodvibes

It is shallow water, and as I stated in my first post, it isn't nearly the experience totally that DC is.....however it's not nearly as expensive, and there is some interaction you can pet and feed the dolphins etc.....no you don't actually "swim" with them it's just a figure of speech(like if I take my nephew swimming with me we are in the water together but I don't ride him) LOL.....there is no hangning onto a fin and going for a quick ride you are correct. However if you have never done DC and have a love for dolphins it's an excellent experience. We did DC first so it wasn't as big to us, but my GF loved it just a much.

I'm seriously thinking about surprising my wife with Doplhins in Depth when we go down in October (she'd LOVE it!!!). I think the Birnbaum's guide has a 15% coupon in the back, is the AAA discount more?
