We are meeting family at WDW in a few weekends. We are all at the same resort - ASMu -- they picked it. They will be getting in while we are at MK, and want to get together for dinner that evening. We will have a car, they will not, and there are too many to go in one car. They do not get the fact that although the food court is okay, it is not what I consider to be a nice evening meal. they have never been to WDW before, and do not know about PS and all.

So, my question is:
We will be a group of 7 adults, and 3 children ages 9, 7 & 6. Where in Epcot is a good place to eat? Where have you had a great experience? I have never had anything but counter food in Epcot, and I am ready to try something different!

Thanks for your help!

It is a little had to do without PS, but you do have options. Marrekesh in Morroco has great food, belly dancers and kid friendly meals like kabobs, etc. Food is wonderful and you can often get a table without PS. Their take-out Tangeriers Cafe is also good. The Teppanyaki in Japan is also great and you may be able to get a table their also. It's like Bennihana(grill tables), food is great and chefs are fun(its my DS's favorite, he is 12 and we are returning for our 4 th meal there in June). Le Cellier is our new favorite in Canada, had a wonderful meal, but I think they book pretty far in advance..try it! You could also walk to Boardwalk and eat at Spoodles or ESPN club. Just a few ideas! Good Luck!

I have made PS for dining in Epcot on the same morning of wanting to eat. I have had dinner in Mexico, France, UK, Italy, and Coral Reef (in The Living Seas). They were all fantastic and unique. My least favorite was France. The best atmosphere was Mexico and Coral Reef (got to sit next to huge aquarium). The hotel can help with PS or just call yourself. Although it is more expensive, a sit down meal is MUCH better. Go for it!!

I was also going to suggest Teppanyaki - it's a great choice for a large group since the tables are for eight. If you like buffets the Biergarten in Germany is also a good choice - my kids have enjoyed the food there as well. Check out some of the menus on Deb Will's site to see what appeals to everyone. BTW, I have never had a bad meal at Epcot, so you will probably enjoy whatever you decide!

Epcot has some of the best and the most restaurant in WDW.
I would find out what kind of food your family likes and make a PS for that restaurant.

Here's a list of the restaurants around the World Showcase and their menus.

Norwegian: Buffet - Restaurant Akershus http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_nor.htm

Italian: Alfredo di Roma Restaurante

German: Biergarten

French: Bistro de Paris or Les Chefs de France

Mexican: San Angel Inn

Canadian: Le Cellier

Morroccan: Restaurant Marrakesh

I have eaten in half of these restaurants... I'm about to try two more next week.

Have Fun!!

I would have to agree with the others that Morrocco's Marrakesh is fun and different. The Teppanyaki in Japan is one of our family favorites. The Rose & Crown would be a great choice especially for viewing Illuminations after dinner. If you can time your dinner plans just right and request seating on the patio. One other suggestion would be to try the Garden Grille Restaurant in "The Land" section of EPCOT. It is served family style, you will NOT go away hungry and the food is surprisingly delicious! The restaurant revolves while you are dining, making a full revolution before you are done. You also get Chip and Dale running around visiting everyone's table. We were able to get our huge group into two tables (side by side) with the adults at one and the kids at the other.

On the don't side: I would avoid The Nine Dragons in China. Way over priced for so-so food.
