Trying to finalize my vacation plans (only my 2nd visit to WDW :cool1: )

Group of 6 (4 adults, a 12 yr old and a (very picky) 4 yr old)

1. would you pick Coral Reef or Chefs de France for lunch options.

2. La Hacienda...I've read that you get an awesome view of Illuminations from here. If Illuminations is at 9:30, would an earlier adr (7ish) be a safer bet than a later adr (9ish).

Thanks for any advice/suggestions!

eta...I forgot where I was posting...and I think I may have posted this in the wrong area! :guilty: Any way to get it moved to the general restaurant area and/or delete it here?

I would pick Coral Reef for lunch. There is a wide range of selections.

La Hacienda de San Angel is getting lots of good reviews for Illuminations. I would try for an 8ish ADR, if possible.

We ate at La Hacienda last week and the view of Illuminations was awesome. The food was great too, but a little pricey (like all Disney restaurants). We had a 7:30 reservation and Illuminations was at 9:00. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated but we were finished dinner and dessert right at 9:00. They were pretty quick with the food.

I would definitely take a later reservation because I'm sure you'd be finished before the fireworks if you went at 7:00. As for picky eaters, my 6 year old is really picky and he ate the tortilla chips and had chicken strips for dinner and ate almost all of it (except the 5 green beans they have him)!
