We used to love Akershus pre-princesses. Haven't been there since it became character dining 24/7.

I couldn't tell you when I went there, but it must have been during the transition. I remember it as a buffet, but with no princesses. I haven't been back since the princesses arrived.

OMG, I remember the Sunshine Seasons Food Fair in the Land. We'd eat there after seeing Kitchen Kabaret. The cheese bread was soooooooooooooooo good, and the BBQ smell always made my mouth water. I think there was a soup & sammie place, too, but I don't remember us ever eating anything from there.

Soup and sandwich and maybe baked potatoes? Now I find myself getting either the pork chop or the fish. And it's soooo expensive if OOP too!

Yes! I was there in October. Was quite shocked that a pork chop and a blob of mashed potatoes was over $13.

I remember and loved le cellier as a cafeteria. And Food Rocks. What a show! I like thinking about disney of years past. Maybe because I was younger. In the mk remember where you could get a kikoman burger?

At the Adventureland Veranda on the right side just as you crossed the bridge into Adventureland. The restaurant was sponsored by Kikkoman. It's been closed for 20 years and is now a Tinker Bell and Fairies Meet and Greet area.

Loved the Good Turn. There was also a restaurant called the Odyssey that had good burgers and cococnut cream pie. Still miss Beaver Tail Pastry Kiosk in Canada.

I miss the bread they used to stuff with roasted garlic at Le Cellier... Anyone else remember that? It was awesome... Waaaaay before the days of the pretzel bread

I so miss the beaver tails too! It was a regular thing to get a beaver tail every visit to WDW.

I remember making reservations to a person on a TV screen as well near Spaceship Earth...It was sooo cool way back then.

I used to love San Angel restaurant in Mexico. The food was much more authentic back then - mole sauce and great appetizers. It used to be one of our favorites.

I remember twirling the napkins in Italy and the cafeteria-style restaurant in Canada. And the best thing in Norway were these fruit parfait-like desserts.

But my big-time favorite I miss is a Pleasure Island Restaurant - Fireworks Factory (I believe or something like that). Great BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and a killer chocolate chip cookie sundae served in a cast-iron skillet with a sparkler!

I also miss the video phones for reservations but mostly I miss Tempura Kiku.
I know why it went away, it was absurdly small and service was at a leisurely pace...I'm sure it didn't make a lot of money but it was a wonderful, intimate experience that really did sell the illusion that you were no longer in Orlando.

yes! I was a CM at Le Cellier in 1997 when it switched over. Loved that bread.

I remember the video screens too as a kid in the 80s and we Alfredos was always on our list.

Updated map 7/17. The new space restaurant in Future World should be a very nice addition to the current offerings at Epcot.

Seriously miss Alfredo's, that fettuccine Alfredo with all that butter, I can still taste it. Still haven't found anything as good anywhere.

Mmm the Alfredo at Alfredo's! So delicious! To this day it is the gold standard by which I judge all other fettucine Alfredo. Still haven't found one as good.

I miss that Alfredo also! I've tried to make it at home, its just not quite the same.

my first ever disney TS restaurant was coral reef in 1991 with my best friend. We were there with our high school and I talked her into trying it out because I was dying to eat at the aquarium. Of course we were budgeted for CS but we made a reservation at the video screens and she ordered a raw tuna appetizer (this was before sushi was EVERYWHERE and it was quite daring at the time) and I ordered the lobster bisque. We had lots of bread and butter and the butter was molded in mickey shaped pats. We felt so elegant. It was back when the place was carpeted from floor to ceiling. The server was great and we left a nice tip on a cheap bill. I know coral reef doesn't get a lot of love but it still has a place in my heart due to it being my "first" and I have never had a bad meal there yet.

That was one of our favorites! We still have some of the "firework" swizzle sticks around somewhere.

Alfredos is actually where I learned that I don't like alfredo sauce as a kid.

Yes, I remember eating Alfredo sauce at the original Alfredo restaurant with my dad. Our server was from the same region of Italy that my dad's family came from. And, yes, I remember Kitchen Kabaret and Food Rocks!
