How did this become a thread about not liking children? My DW and I love children and WDW. I simply asked if one resort was better for a couple with no children.

I really think you'll enjoy the YC; everything about it is wonderful. If you decide on that one make sure to book a waterview room and request 'marina view'. Hope you love it there!

For some reason, people do tend to apply a perception to a resort. Usually the GF is the front runner for comments such as "the CM's were following us around when we stopped by, because they knew we weren't staying there" or that "it's a resort unwelcoming to children". I don't think anything could be further from the truth, but it's the impression some people get. Kids are going to be everywhere. I think the difference with the YC is they have a restaurant that's a bit more upscale (Yachtsman Steakhouse) and they don't have a character breakfast, so the lobby is a bit less congested than the BC. Other than that, I'd just go with whichever theme appeals to you the most.

I did a solo trip to the Boardwalk Inn last year and really enjoyed it. The Inn is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby and examining all of the turn of the century knick-knacks in the lobby and hallways.

I did not care for the Luna Park pool---too plastic for my tastes. I used the quiet pool instead and it was indeed quiet. The Inn is home to a colony of rabbits and I enjoyed watching them scamper about the courtyard as I laid by the pool.

The Inn is a less than ten minute walk from Epcot's International Gateway. If you are seeking quiet accommodations in an attractive setting, then you cannot go wrong with Boardwalk Inn.
