This is just a quick post of a day trip to Epcot. My DW and I have been there many times in the past, and all we really wanted to do was go on Test Track, Mission Space, and have lunch.

The pictures to go with the story Epcot Pictures

Epcot opened at 9:00 am, so it wasn't too difficult to get there in time to see all the characters welcome me in. I started the day by myself and joined up with the DW around lunch (she has a business thing in the morning).

From the drop of the rope, I followed the cast members to Test Track. I was about 10th in line. It all looked good until the announcement came that Test Track was having troubles, and there was going to be a delay. Several minutes later, I was moving again and entered the first group into the briefing room.

Then, it was onto the cars. I was in the third car to leave. Things appeared "off" as the audio get looping to the guy saying "all right." He must have said it 15 times during the ride. It became a running joke to us in the car.

We passed the heat, cold, and entered the corrosion chamber when the ride stopped. We were there a good 10 minutes going nowhere, and I made the comment that it was better to be stuck here than in the cold or heat (which were still on).

We started moving again, and the high speed turns ended being in slow motion. The head on with the truck was a bust. From the crash test on, things went normally as we whipped around the outside track.

All told, it was 9:45 am by the time I exited Test Track.

From there, I shot over to Mission Space and zipped right on. I was the engineer for the trip. I really liked Mission Space. By the end, I was getting a bit light headed and was glad it was over when it was.

Afterward, I bought a few Tylenol to help clear the head, but a little headache was worth it.

From there, I spent the next several hours wondering around and just taking my time (stopping off in France for a croissant) until I met up with the DW.

Once we were together, she rode Mission Space (I liked it, but wasn't ready for another headache) while I went over and got Fast Passes for Test Track (which were already at 5:00 pm).

From Mission Space, we went to Morocco and had lunch at Restaurant Marrakesh. She got the lamb, and I got the sampler platter. The lamb was really good, and I liked most of what I had except for the chicken kebabs (which were overcooked and tough). We were treated to some music and a belly dancer. Foolish me, I forgot to take pictures.

From there, it was enjoying the street shows at the different countries until it was time for Test Track.

We stopped off at China and had some red bean ice cream at the Lotus Blossum Cafe- which was good (though I prefer green tea, which they didn't have).

We got to Test Track at 5:05 pm and had a short wait before getting into the briefing. The ride went without a hitch this time.

It was 5:35 pm by the time we were done, and it was time to get back to our resort for dinner.

Overall, the weather was beautiful, and the crowds weren't bad. Looking at the board, the biggest waits were from Test Track (60 minutes) most likely because of the troubles they were having keeping it running. Mission Space never got over 30 minutes.

Thanks for sharing...great pics too!

Great notes, I just wanted to say that I was there on that same day and took almost identical pictures....very weird feeling to see that.
