I am having trouble deciding what to pick for our future world area cs meal. what do you recommend? We are doing two days of Epcot, and the second day I plan on eating my way thru World Showcase :rotfl2: :rotfl: but have no idea what to eat in the other area. We do have an evening TS for one of our evening meals that week at the Garden Grill. Any sugestions, or should I haul him down to the showcase? :moped:

Our family usually eats at the Electric Umbrella. It's nothing spectactular, but we find it very appetizing. You can go to allearsnet.com to check out some of the menu's from the CS places and see what your family would enjoy. Hope this helps!

It has been a few years since we've been. However we really enjoyed the selection and quality back then. Recently I have read great reviews here, too.

We had a great Cs meal (good value for the money and big enough to share) at the sunshine seasons food court at the land pavillion. I had soup, the black forrest ham sandwich and dd chose the worms and dirt for dessert. The sandwich was huge, she ate 1/4 of it, I ate 1/2 and with the soup I was stuffed.

Our favorite CS in all the World is Tangierine Cafe. It is really, really good.

Great food and great selection. You can get sandwiches, salads, oriental, soups, desserts, and more. It has a large area for seating, it's indoors . . . IMO the best CS in Future World.

Sunshine Seasons has a Large selection of foods to choose from and the desserts are great too. I think it's the best in the other area. If you're going to the showcase, I'd say you can't go wrong at either Tangierine Cafe or Kringla Bakeri Og in Norway.

We liked the Electric Umbrella in 2002. Good food and good portion sizes. I remember having fries left over because I was stuffed.

I haven't tried Umbrella, but I thought Seasons was excellent. A wide variety of choices, and a diverse dessert menu that had more dessert choices than all the TS meals we had.

We like Sunshine Seasons too but we also liked Cantina de San Angel. We ate there in Jan. (not on DDP). It was a late EMH at Epcot. We got there in time for Illuminations and had a great view. A nice couple from Canada even offered to share their table with 2 of our group. My mom really appreciated it and we got to talk to them and a mother and daughter from Minn. (I think) who were having a great trip and this was their last night there. They told us how a CM had taken them under her wing during the trip and even treated them to CM preview of EE. We were so jealous!! But only until we went to AK on Monday CM preview day and they asked my niece (DL CM) if she wanted to attend the special event-we said YES! :thumbsup2 He even gave us 5 passes instead of 4 so all the adults could ride-we got to ride 3 times each. It was so great :goodvibes and we can't wait to go back (especially with my coupon for free picture! :woohoo: :woohoo: )

Anyway, I tend to ramble. The food at the Cantina was good. We shared Plato Combinations (remember we weren't on the dining plan so we were being frugal) and each was enough for 2 of us (adults) to eat. I think my DD had the kids plate-she loves bean burritos.

All that being said, we will most likely eat there in September and if it's for dinner we'll try to get a good spot for Illuminations. It's also a pleasant spot for lunch.

I did notice that the only dessert they show is a churro, which would be included on DDP.

Sunshine Seasons hands down...Electric Umbrella is OK for burgers and such, but there are so many choices at Sunshine Seasons, everyone can usually find something they like. DS loves the fresh strawberries and cream.

We really wanted to try Sunshine Seasons but were never in the Land Pavillion during meal time. The menu looked good though. I wanted a hot dog in the American Adventure (pregnancy craving) and we walked all the way there from Future World to discover it was closed/under renovation. We ate the fish and chips in England (DH's choice) - good but a bit greasy and the vegetarian noodles in China - (my choice) DS (2) and I really liked this. We were on the DDP and I actually really liked the entire China CS meal including ginger ice cream which my DH thought was disgusting. We would have liked to try the Cantina in Mexico but we were trying to eat dinner late-ish and it was packed with people staking out their Illuminations viewing spot. We ate at the Electric Umbrella for dinner - all their burgers are double cheeseburgers. I have never eaten that much meat at one sitting so the extra patty went to DS - actually quite convenient.

If I had to pick a restaurant in Future World I would pick SS. However.... I dont mind walking over to Mexico in WS. I love getting a CS meal there rather then anywhere in FW.
