Hi everyone,

We are 2 adults visiting Disneyworld in late November, early December, I have made all my ADR's, as it stands now I will have 4 counter service meals left, what I would like to do is snack and drink around EPCOT with the remaining 4 CS meals, sharing meals with my DH as to experience different foods. Would love to hear what meals and drinks you suggest. We are aware alcoholic beverages are extra. I have listed the other meals we are having hoping to not be too repetative.

LOVE all the great suggestions I get from DISers.

Tuesday 11-29 we arrive in Orlando an 10:45, we are staying at the Beach Club, we are planning on heading straight to the MK and having lunch at Casey's.

Tues 7:30PM Le Cellier....THIS was the ONLY seating I could get, appears Le Cellier is quite popular.

Wednesday 9:15AM Boma for the breakfast buffet, we plan on taking a taxi to Boma and the bus from Boma to AK

Wednesday 5:00PM Mama Melrose - This distresses me as it is very early BUT it was the ONLY seating I could get, perhaps I will rethink this and try for Prime Time Cafe......????

Thursday - plan on heading to Downtown Disney in the morning, eating lunch at Earl of Sandwich, perhaps ice cream at Ghiardelli

Thursday 5:45PM Pecos Bill as we are doing MVMCP

Friday 9:30AM Spoodles, then heading to Disney Studios

Friday 6:30PM Afredo's at Epcot

Saturday - a counter service breakfast, perhaps Electric Umbrella or something in the Beach Club/Epcot vicinity

Saturday - 8:00PM Rose and Crown, this is a Candlelight Processional package, we are attending the 6:45PPM CP and hoping to see Illuminations from Rose And Crown.

Sunday - 2:00 Cinderella's Royal Table, really wanted breakfast or an earlier lunch but this was the best I could get. Planning on parasailing Sunday morning so perhaps this will work out..

Sunday - 7:00PM Concourse Steak House - Planning to resort hop to admire the decorations, have a cocktail here and there..........perhaps a sleigh ride at Wilderness Lodge.

Monday - planning to do Epcot in the morning, having breakfast on the go, maybe the Boardwalk Bakery....

Monday - snacking around Epcot, plan on using up our counter service meals by sharing meals from different country counter services

Tuesday morning breakfast, haven't decided, to depressed to think about it as this is the day we depart for home.....Cape May Cafe? Yacht Club Galley?

The USA recently revamped their menu. Back in May I enjoyed a delicious turkey sandwich on an "everything" bagel. It was rather tastey and very fresh.

Thanks for the suggestion JW. I am hoping to get my DH to try some different offerings, things we do NOT normally eat but it is great to know that if all else fails we can hit up the American Pavillion.

If that's the case, let me strongly recommend to skip Earl of Sandwich and go around the corner to Wolfgang Puck Express. Nothing wrong with EoS, but since you want to try something "different," WPE should fit that bill. Interesting but not "crazy" food, VERY well-prepared, and it's still counter service!!!

I assume you already had the fish and chips? I LOVE those.

We will be making a stop at the Morocco CS this visit also. Menu looks pretty good.

I def don't bother with USA when there, too many other great choices!

I really enjoyed the bakery in France A LOT - the cheese plate and pastries are incredible (As is the wine tasting across the way!). Fish and chips were pretty good, though greasy - but perfect split between two with a big cup of beer ;) Tangerine is by far my fave, in Morocco. The lamb is DELICIOUS, though the vegetarian platter of salads and such were really good. DH and I split a platter and it was more than enough to fill us up. China has typical mall foodcourt chinese but it isn't bad at all - I enjoy Japan a teensy bit more, esp since it's airconditioned =) I would skip Mexico, it's a step down from Taco Bell IMO with canned cheese and greasy "meat" though the margaritas are yummy =)

We (attempted to) eat our way around in May and were stuffed beyond belief - but it was loads of fun! We also stopped in Germany for beer and pretzels, though not exactly counter service.

Have fun!!

The Sunshine Food Fair was recently remodeled and totally changed their menu offerings. Some are very good and probaly healthier than their old offerings, but I miss the pulled pork sandwich. :(

Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco is wonderful! Not only my favorite but my husband's and son's favorite, too! Yumm! Yumm! couscous, hummus, tabbouleh, lamb with tzatziki sauce, baklava for dessert-yummy!

WOW...thanks for the suggestion, never even thought of Wolfgang Puck Express and after looking over the menu it seems exactly what I am looking for in our counter service meals.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, I am printing them out and putting them in my folder.

If anyone has actually snacked around the world, I would love to hear about it.

My DW and I have not really snacked around the world, but we occasionally stop at Yakitori House for some Japanese "fast food". We also like to get dessert at Boluangerie Patisserie. They also have quiches and a couple of sandwiches for a quick meal. We also like the food at the Tangerine Cafe and, if you time it right, you can sit outside and watch Mo'Rockin'. :)

I like the bakery in France too! I like the quiche and the chocolate mousse! YUM!!

Personally, I would not skip the Earl of Sandwich. I think they make some of the best sandwiches around. The meat is very high quality, the bread very good .. and they toast it .. cheese all gooey! Yum!

We had ps for 8 after the 6:45 CP last year. It worked out well. You do not have to run thru the huge crowd in the dark. Good luck to you in getting a patio table .. hope it is not too cold.

If you want to do the sleigh ride at WL, make your ressie asap. It books fast!

I would pick 50's over Mama Melrose. We love breakfast at Spoodles and Boma .. good choices! Concourse Steakhouse has gotten some decent reviews lately, but I would go fo the Calif Grille, or Kona Cafe if you want to be on the monorail. If you want a yummy steak, then Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Fot that last meal, I would go for the Cape May Cafe. One last chance to see the characters.. and the food is very good!

Oh my gosh! Other people do that too! My husband and I dont like the same kinds of food, so we always "eat our way around the world" when we are at Epcot. Canoli for me and funnel cake for him! This is so much fun and a great way to be brave and have fun trying new food.

We start in Mexico with a drink. I totally cant remember what it was called, but soapy water comes to mind. Ewe! We mostly bought from vendors on the street, except around Norway - we went inside there - great and funky sandwiches. Nothing plain enough for hubby there...And then we end in the piazza in Italy and bring snacks back there and dance under the moonlight in the square. We are so cheesy! :love2: But its fun!

Yum yum!

I've snacked around the world before- though not always "meal type" items, sometimes desserts and drinks.

Anyway, I love Yorkshire County Fish Shoppe, definitely the BEST! Crispy and fresh!

Crepes in France are very traditional and yummy, but there's a whole bakery (Boulangerie Patisserie) and I've heard a lot about the "Marvelous" so I"m trying that next time- plus it's one place you can get "real" coffee! (not Nescafe!)

In Norway, there's a bakery, too and I've never been but I am also trying the "school bread" there next time.

Definitely make time for Tangeriene Cafe, which is fabulous!! Schwarma and couscous salad and a tangerine daiquiri!

The food in China is very much what you'd get from chinese take out, I'd avoid it.

In Germany, they have bratwurst if you like that. ( I don't but my boyfriend does, so. . .)

In Mexico, Cantina isn't that bad, but it's pretty much taco bell level- get a churro or nachos, but I'd avoid anything with meat. And right next door is that margarita stand. Fiesta margaritas are layered and have 4 flavors per glass- kiwi, lime, strawberry and mango and they are the best! Have a few of them and you might think the food at Cantina is *good* hahaha!

Tempura Kiku is *excellent* but isn't counter service. The Teriyaki chicken at Yakitori House was pretty tasty, too.

That's all I've tried. There really aren't as many counter service places you can get meal type food, rather than desserts and drinks in World Showcase. If you avoid drinks and desserts, it might be tough. Then again, last time we had about 3 desserts and 3 meals, plus drinks that we shared and we were pretty full!

Maggie--We are going to be at WDW the same time and will be at the same MVMCP!

We have 4 CS left (more if we pay OOP for breakfasts) to eat around the world our night at Epcot (Saturday 12/3)!

Here is our plan (not in order!):
Germany: Sommerfest: OOP: bratwurst
France: Boulangerie Pattiserie: 2 CS: cheese plate; quiche; 2 desserts!
Norway: Kringla Bakery: OOP: more dessert:)
Japan: Yakitori House: 1 CS: Tonosama combination
United Kingdom: Yorkshire Fish: 1 CS: fish & chips

do not know what your particular food mode is, but consider going to the land early. was there this weekend to do soaring, but even sushi is available to go for breakfast. susan :earsgirl:
