Epcot: Counter service italian?

I was posting something similar in another thread (on the attractions board) and i figured this is a dining issue, so i'd ask here as well. A bit of background:

Disney seems to be sending me on a 10 year wild food chase in terms of counter service italian food at Epcot. Anyone remember Pasta Piazza? It was on one of the Communicore/Innoventions sides and served counter service italian food: Pizza, pasta, AWESOME breadsticks, and chicken parm. Then that disappeared from Epcot (much to my chagrin) but a few years later I was very happy to see the italian food from the Land food court. So that then became my favorite counter service in Epcot.

Now with the Land food court being changed, I've seen on some menus that there arent any items like the ones mentioned above. Perhaps I'm incorrect, so please free to correct me...i'd be happy to hear it!

So, in conclusion (LOL), does anyone know of any good italian counter service restaurants in Epcot now? Or does anyone have their own wild food chase stories?

Unfortunately you are pretty much out of luck. About the closest you can come is Spoodles pizza window on the Boardwalk. Not sure when they open during the day though.

As much as I am usually pro-change, I was also disappointed to see the Italian counter at The Land disappear. I really liked it there!

We will never forget this place. My husband got a terrible case of food poisoning here and was so sick that the "disney ambulance" came to our hotel. He lost 11 lbs in about 2 days. It was UGLY! Good riddance to Pasta Piazza.
