Should we go to Epcot on extended evening hours night if we are staying at Pop? Will it be more crowded during the day or before closing?

I have been multiple times and I don't think it makes a difference, since the closing time is the same whether they have EEH that day or not.

Remember, you are welcome to stay in Epcot during EEH even if you don't qualify for it, you just can't ride anything, but you can walk around, shop and eat (only few shops remains open).

If they have any other event that needs to shut down the park earlier, usually it is less crowded (usually).

I just changed my Epcot day from March 10 (EEH) to March 12. The LL return times are already super late in the day (GotG is already sold out) for the 10th yet the days before and after have much earlier times available. So I would say it is affecting it.

Hmmm sounds like it.

Pretty much nothing is open though. If I didn't qualify for EEH I would honestly just go home or head to MK if I had hoppers.
We didn’t plan to stay after closing. We just wondered how crowds are during park hours.

Depending on how late one stays during EEH one might need to get an uber as the skyliner will stay open for 90 minutes after park close to go to resorts other than the Riviera.
RIV guests will not have an issue as they qualify for EEH and the skyliner will stay open an extra hour for them.

Like PP said it really doesn't have an impact on crowd levels during the day. There isn't a "mix in" where it increases like during the hard ticket events.
