Epcot "arm"? Happiest Celebration on Earth planning DVD question...

DH and I just watched this over the weekend. (It's GREAT, by the way, if you've not ordered yours. Very detailed and comes with a CDROM for planning as well.)

We order these for "fun" and to get our Disney "fix," since, after all these years, there's not really anything we don't know that we need to know. However, this one brough up a question...

In the Epcot section, several pieces of video showed Spaceship Earth without the Epcot arm. That would be a GOOD thing in our opinion (if they got rid of that atrocity). However, later in the video, it was shown with the arm again.

Is the dreaded "arm" gone? If not, why would Disney use such old footage? If so, HALLELULAH!

It's still there. I guess the budget cuts have reached the PR department.

They always use and reuse old footage in the planning videos, sometimes showing snippets of attractions that have been closed for years! They also seem to intermix video from DL and WDW at times; some of the Space Mountain and Splash Mountain videos have had the other park's logs in them...

But hey, at least the WDW planning DVD is long and comprehensive enough to actually use for planning; the DL one really sucks!
