My wife will be celebrating a milestone birthday at the end of the year. Hopefully things will be somewhat back to normal by then. I was thinking about trying one of the Crescent Lake Resorts. Which do you prefer Yacht Club, Beach Club, or Boardwalk, and why? I like the stores and Restaurants at he Boardwalk, but the pool at the Yacht and Beach looks great. Which would you choose?

I haven't stayed in one, but maybe it's a good excuse to snag a Garden Suite at BWI? One showed up in a booking window I'm looking at and I'm tempted... If that's not an option, I'd say YC.

If you pick the resort side, I would also suggest YC and would suggest a water view room. I love sitting out on the balcony and watching the boats go by with a view of BWI in the background. If you would consider a studio, take a look at the studios at BCV (it's a DVC property, but you can book them through WDW). We absolutely love BCV. It's a little quieter than the BC resort side and is super close to EP, the Skyliner and the bus area to catch the bus to MK and AK.

You absolutely can’t go wrong with any of the listed options. I will put a plug in for Yacht Club due to Yachtsman’s Steakhouse and my ultimate fav Disney adult spot: Crew’s Cup Lounge.

Stayed at all 3, you really can’t go wrong with any choice.

Personally, Boardwalk Inn is my favorite. I know a lot of people don’t like the clown pool, but I do. The walking distance to the parks is the best. (I know, BC is closer to Int’l gateway but for ease to both parks I think BWI wins it.)

Second, Yacht Club. I love the rooms. Downfall, the walk to both parks is longest.

Third, Beach Club. It’s still very nice, but it’s the loudest of the three, so it’s last.

Our favorite is BC by far, but if it is for adults only I'd pick YC. The pool is great, but often busy. The resorts quiet pools are a nice respite away from others though if that is important. BWI is our least favorite in that area, mostly because my children dislike the clown pool...I don't like it because there isn't a zero entry area at the BWI pool. You can't go wrong with any, maybe wait and see which one might have a discount released. That's often the way we pick the resort we will stay at☺️. Have a great birthday trip!

I've stayed at all 3 and my choice would be either BWI or YC. BC is nice, but it's not as quiet/relaxed as YC and BWI.

I've stayed in all 3 many times. YC is my all time favorite of all the WDW resorts I've ever stayed in. The only resorts I haven't stayed in are WL, Riveria, AoA, SS I've even camped at the Fort and stayed at Shades of Green before it was just for military. Having said that, you can't go wrong with any of the Epcot resorts, lately we tend to stay at the cheapest at the time we are booking, which usually actually turns out to be Dolphin. My least favorite is BC but only because it feels like there are more kids there and my kid is nigh onto 40 and I don't like that you can't always get a full balcony. If I'm not getting a balcony, I'll save the money at the Dolphin (which occasionally I luck out with and actually get a balcony).

We have only stayed at the Beach Club and the Boardwalk so I can't comment on the Yacht Club. All three times we had our kids with us. We chose BC for Stormalong Bay and we stayed at the Boardwalk because we were attending a wedding reception there.

I love the BC pool area and I love to snag a table at Hurricane Hanna's and people watch. We have stayed there twice and both times the location of our room wasn't the greatest.

When we stayed at the Boardwalk. We loved the interior of the room. It felt larger than most and so comfortable. We are a family of five and it didn't feel cramped at all. We weren't able to enjoy the pool area because the weather turned really cold (January)...so I can't comment on that. The room did feel "far" from everything. The hallway seemed like a really long walk after a day at the parks.

The Boardwalk is nice for a stroll, unless it 100 degrees outside! :-)

They all are wonderful with their access to Epcot and HS. If it was just hubby and myself, I would probably go for the Yacht Club. Just from walking around it, it seems quieter than the other two.

Happy Planning and enjoy your trip!

I've never stayed at the YC, have stayed at BC a couple of times; kids loved the pool there. We rented DVC points at BWV for our 30th anniversary and loved it. So Boardwalk would be my choice.

Last July, we'd originally planned to stay at BC, but when the Sun and Fun discount came out, the rate at YC was much better, so we stayed there. After that experience, it would 100% be our first choice resort. We absolutely loved YC. The atmosphere is wonderful, the lobby is gorgeous (and smells great, too!), the pool is great, and Yachtsman Steakhouse is our favorite restaurant on WDW property. The rooms are very nice and they all have balconies or patios. If you're using Disney buses, they're easier from YC because they stop there first before BC. We also loved the location between BC and Boardwalk since it's such a quick and easy walk to visit both of those resorts, as well.

We were on an adults only anniversary trip, and YC was definitely perfect for that. It felt quieter and more adult to us. We would not hesitate to stay there again - it would still be my first choice resort. But you can't go wrong with any of the 3, I think - we'd gladly stay at either of the other two if the rates were better. But if money were no object, we'd choose YC every time!

Full disclosure I've only stayed BC&BW... agree with others that you can't go wrong with any of them. For an adults only trip I would pick Boardwalk, there is a nice garden courtyard away from the hustle & bustle of the BW itself, and several very nice quiet pools. I am in the minority who is not a huge fan of BC pool. So, if BC I would book a studio on the DVC side, and enjoy that nice quiet pool. Again, though, all 3 are great choices with a lot to offer.

Here is another vote for the Boardwalk Inn! DW and I have stayed there many, many times. We loved the theming and the overall ambiance of the Boardwalk. We also enjoyed having the balcony and the views, most overlooking the courtyard with many having an Epcot feature in the distance. Only once out of our many visits with standard views did we have what I would consider a "lesser standard view" looking out over the conference center.

We are not pool people so Stormalong Bay didn't interest us.

As others have said, you really can't go wrong with either of the three resorts.

Two years ago my husband and I stayed at Boardwalk and loved it. Had a ground floor room that looked at the quiet pool, it was perfect for jut the two of us. Easy walk out the door up the stairs (or elevator) to the main lobby. I usually travel with my sister and we stay using her DVC points at Beach Club and I'm used to the convenience of the store/food so having to go down to the Screen Door was a little for a snack or a beverage was a little more of a walk but it wasn't that bad.

My pick is YC. Having a full balcony is important to me. Love the dining options, location, pool, and proximity to the parks.
We stayed at BC too and liked that too, but only half the rooms have a real balcony. We had one so I was happy, but don’t like that it’s not a guaranteed option.
Haven't stayed at BWI due to lack of interest. Don’t like that all the restaurants are outside.

While we haven’t stayed at BWI we have stayed at the BC once and club level at YC twice. I prefer the YC to the BC as it seems to be a bit quieter. We both love the pool area and slide they share and the Yachtsman Steakhouse is one of our favorites. We are planning a trip at the end of this year/first week of next and have been contemplating trying BWI since we probably won’t be using the pool as much. When we were at Disney December 2018 it was to cold to swim.
