I think that Disney is buying up BCV and BWV to offer incentives to members for Epcot's 40th which is Oct. 1, 2022. I think we will see that happen this summer or fall. There is only a little time left that Disney will be able to sell those resorts as time runs away to 2042. Most studios at both resorts are completely booked through 2022 already so 19 years left unless you want a 1 or 2 Bdrm.

Maybe, it's interesting they are starting on room renovations, even though it doesn't seem the DVC rooms were called out with the rest. I would consider owning at BWV if they reno the rooms. In our trip in February the BWV studio we stayed in was no good, but if they renovated, I would be up for it.

They just ran that fire sale on Boardwalk. They are ROFRing BC very high. I don't see why they would offer incentives at all on either resort, but they did it before.

More likely they will recommend and excellent, European-themed DVC offering.

I think they are buying bcv to sell the rooms on cash.
150 point contract might only net them 7-10 nights a year. When you factor in paying mfs and the cost of the contract, that does not seem like a good economical decision. But even with incentives they could make $50-80 pp on a new contract and not have to pay the mfs.

Me too. They gave away a lot of points in the past two years to owners who were impacted by the pandemic,

This gives them more points to use for cash stays which offsets those other points.
