EPCOT 25th Anniversary

I haven't been on this board in a while, so excuse this if it's been answered. I didn't find any posts about it when searching though...

Has there been any word about plans for a celebration of EPCOT's 25th anniversary? I would have expected some major refurbs to begin in 2006 in preparation for it. I had kind of been hoping something would happen with WoL, too.

Since we're already 2 1/2 months into '06, though, I'm guessing not much will be done.

Hi,

The only thing I have heard so far is this item from today's WDW Park Update on Mouseplanet.com:

We are hearing that it is a certainty that there will be a new night-time spectacular debuting at Epcot in October 2007 for the park's 25th birthday. No further details are available at this time.

Keep in mind there were no specific celebrations for Epcot's 20th in 2002 (100 Years of Magic was underway).

Thanks for the news. That's the kind of thing I would expect. I know there are rumors flying around about things like a major SSE refurb, but just wondered if there were any confirmed changes. EPCOT is easily my favorite park, so I'm just looking for even more reasons to go.
