Epcot 1 Day Touring Plan without Soarin

I find it quite easy to follow and stick to his plans, with 2 kids. I don't think those are created with single rider in mind at all

Maybe so. I find some people are more concerned about doing it all, and getting as many rides in as possible, and they are probably very able to stick to a touring plan. Others, are more content to stop and enjoy the random experiences that come their way, that generally don't fit nicely into a touring plan. Neither way is right or wrong. But, I think anyone needs to be aware that if you want to enjoy the randomness of Disney, detailed touring plans often don't fit well into that.

I agree with you. I had this insane plan for our first park day and realized DD5 probably isn't going to cooperate. First time at Disney for her means we need flexibility.

My family of 5 (kids ages 13, 9, 7 and 2 parents) plan to be in epcot to start our Orlando trip on 1/20. As my FP window is opening soon I'm preparing touring plans to see what best fits.............
...........Thoughts? Should I be tackling WS differently? Last time we went to Epcot 4 years ago we skipped WS completely. Also, keep in mind that we can't actually eat any of the food in WS as we only eat Kosher.

My primary feeling is one that has been addressed by others........your timing was(is) tight. My other thought is with the FP's. You'll need an alternate plan if you don't get the FP times you want. Odds are high that you won't on the initial 3 selection Disney offers.........and it is easy to update the times, however what if you don't get want your plan dictates? All I'm saying is you've planned out the entire day..............you may want to back off from that a bit just incase the FP thing doesn't work out as you hope.

Otherwise...........Have a great vacation! :-)

My approach is that there's time for randomness in the afternoon. The morning is for getting stuff done efficiently. Anyway, our family is a ride family. Not really into characters and that sort of stuff. More into good fun rides. Details don't hurt but ride fun is much more important. That's the main reason I really didn't like the Peter Pan ride. It was an incredibly boring ride. The queue was kind of cool but the ride itself wasn't worth even a 20 minute wait, let alone a 60+ minute wait.

I had our plans all figured out for our last trip and sometimes we just skipped stuff if it didn't fit in to what was going on at the moment. So plans are good but if at certain times it is not working skip some and or try later. Being flexible helps.

Thanks for the help. I did actually get the FP times I wanted but I realize that stuff can happen. Maybe someone isn't feeling well that day or the weather stinks. We can adjust accordingly and skip the less exciting rides or spend less time in WS if needed. In general I try to assume that we'll always be 15-30 minutes behind these plans and we just skip something to catch up. At the end of the day we can always do what we skipped if we want. Or on one of our extra days we can come back and do the stuff we skipped.
