Anyone use "enviromentally friendly" cleaning products like laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, hand dish washing detergent, toilet bowl cleaner etc? . I Use vinegar and water solution for spray bottle cleaning. ANy brand names and websites that offer environmentally friendly and wallet friendly products?

I get Method on clearance at Target, but find that vinegar and baking soda, or cornstarch for cleaning mirror/window, and fels naptha for clothes are the best!

I use Method but want to look into the new stuff from Clorox called Green Works (?), lately I've been feeling that the Method just isn't doing the job I want it too.

I have recently started making my own dishwasher detergent. I mix equal parts Borax and baking soda-both natural products. Then I add 2 tablespoons to the wash compartment, 1 tablespoon to the pre-wash compartment and run it as usual. I also use vinegar in the rinse aid compartment.

It's more natural and it is way cheaper. I got a huge box of Borax for $3.

My neighbor introduced me to Melaleuca products. They're not only environmentally-friendly and safe to use around children and pets, they also are shipped in concentrated form (cheaper to ship, use less energy to get there) and the spray bottles are reusable.

I too use some Method products (their one laundry soap smells sooooo good) but really want to try the new Clorox.

I use a few Seventh Generations products and Imus Greening the Cleaning spray.

I use this as well. You can not beat their laundry and cleaning products!

I used to use Method all purpose cleaning spray, but one day didn't feel like going to both Target and Walmart...but had to go to Walmart. So I ended up with the Clorox Green Works and I LOVE it!:cloud9: It works so much better than the Method spray. It actually cuts through built up yuck and grease. And it smells super good. I also use Ecover powdered dishwashing detergent. I really like that as well. It is a bit pricey, but it lasts me about a month and a half for a box that is $6.99. I sure do miss the Method dishwashing detergent though. They don't sell that at my Target anymore. :sad1: Also the Arm and Hammer essentials laundry detergent is really great...I think that's natural? Country Save laundry detergent is a good one also...but again, a bit pricey, but lasts a long time.

So far so good with the toliet bowl cleaner!:thumbsup2

My family has used Shaklee products for years. My grandparents started selling it 30+ years ago. It's not inexpensive but it's highly concentrated so it lasts forever once you make the initial investment. Basic H is an all-purpose cleaner that can be used for just about everything.

I use Seventh Generation laundry soap and TP. I have it delivered from Amazon.com every 6 months so the shipping is free. The laundry soap works good on my DH work clothes and my 2 DS clothes. I also us Borax and vinager in the dishwasherand vinager and newpaper to clean windows and mirrors. Oh, I also have made a mix of Borax and Baking Soda and put into a shaker (like Commet) to make it easier to clean the tub and sinks. Hope this helps.:thumbsup2

How about for He washeres I see the 7th Generation can be used in He washers I'm not seeing that Melaleuca can be used in them. ANyone know for sure? Thanks!

I've been using Shaklee H and G for months now. The concentrated form last forever and cleans just as well as anything. I also just bought the 7th Generation HE detergent and love it. It too a bit to break away from my Tide b/c I love the smell, but I've come to realize that clean isn't a smell.

I like Method stuff but lately I've been using vinegar for many things. Doesn't work on mildew though!

I use a vinegar and water solution for most things.

Is oxy clean a good product? Don't know how environmentally safe it is.
