Instead of combing each menu looking for a needle in a haystack, I thought I'd see if anyone here could think of an entree that would fit these requirements. It can be from anywhere on property, counter service or table service.

- Should be chicken-based, preferably breast
- Served with rice or rice can be substituted for the starch
- Not too spicy or with an overpowering sauce
- Preferably no cream-based sauces

In case your're curious, DH is running the marathon and this is his preferred pre-race meal. I know most everywhere offers a spaghetti meal the night before, but I'm having trouble locating chicken and rice.

How about lightly marinated chicken breast and couscous? The Tangierine Cafe in Morroco/EPCOT is wonderful!

What about the chicken meal at Coral Reef? As per their menu it is:

Grilled Chicken Breast - with Jasmine rice and chicken broth $20.99

I too prefer Chicken meals, so I comb the menus looking for available entrees for myself. Good luck!

I thought I remembered seeing this on the menu when I was at the Brown Derby a week and a half ago, and sure enough I was right.....

Split Roasted Half Chicken - Served with rice pilaf, almond cranberry polonaise, and maple vinegar sauce.

If it's as good as the duck and venison dish, I'd recommend it, though your husband may want to limit the intake of the sugars by asking for a limit on the sauce.

I know that Flatbread Company (or is it ABC commissary) at MGM has arroz con pollo that is very bland. It is not a breast though.

That chicken meal at Coral Reef looks good. I wonder if the rest of us could suck it up and eat there. Sadly, none of us likes seafood.

I hadn't see that meal at the Brown Derby! I'll pass it by him.

How about the Chicken Marsala at 1900 Park Fare?

The oft-overlooked Olivia's at Old Key West has a chicken dish that is a breast over rice. They serve it with a pesto, but i'm sure they'd drop that if requested.

Whispering Canyon also does a nice roast chicken. I think they serve it with potatoes, but i know they have rice pilaf there so it shouldn't be hard to substitute.

I also have to wonder if Yak & Yeti might have something to fit the bill? I've eaten in every sort of Landry's franchise, and grilled-chicken-rice is pretty easy to find. They might even be able to serve brown rice or plain steamed white, instead of pilaf or some other sort of presentation.

another option may be to pick a restaurant which the others in your party will enjoy which has chicken you want and call the rest. in advance to see if you can pre-arrange the rice as a special dietary need. it's not exactly a food "allergy" type need, but you do have a reason for needing a special type of food and rice doesn't seem like such a complicated request. wdw chefs are very helpful.
