Never mind remind me not to vent here b/c you all have turned this is into high school instead of just letting someone Vent! I am seriously about to cry b/c I just don;t understand why you ladies are being so mean to me about a necklace my dd bought and someone who is bullying me into not wearing it! this is crazy. She and him are in the wrong not me!

I am not trying to be mean here--I am honestly trying to be helpful and I hoe after you are calmer over teh whole dragonfly thing you can reread this and see that Honestly, if you are about to cry because people have agreed with you that the other two were acting like mean kids but also said that you were in the wrong with how you reacted as well, then I almost wonder if people do not say things to you at work just to get you upset. I HATE people who think that is fun. I think ti is rude and mean. However, if you often times react so strongly and so defensively to minor things then you are going to be a lot of fun for people like that to mess with and that is just going to make things harder for you. Try to toughen up (I know, a thousand times easier said than done) or at least save up your overreactions until you are alone and don't tell the world about them. If you can pull that off, you will save yourself a lot of grief.

Read the posts. People were disagreeing with how you handled the situation. They weren't disagreeing with the fact that you were annoyed by the actions of the other two.

Sometimes I really wish the word bully was removed from the English language.

Sat was my bday and my dd bought me a nice necklace. I wore it to work another girl that works there got mad b/.c it was dragonfly which I LOVE and my dd knew that. I also knew this girl likes them too but I didn't think much about it.

That night she looked at me and said "you suck!" and asked where I got it. I thought she was talking about my out fit as it didn't dawn on me that she was talking about my necklace. I told her the mall and walked out b/c I had to work.

I came back in the break room later and she started in on how dragonflies are her thing and she is the queen. I told her that my dd bought for me for my bday and she started to talk over me about how it is her thing. I rolled my eyes and walked out.

Later in the night I came back in to get something out of my purse and the bouncer (whom we all know wants this girl real bad) said in front of everyone in there "why are you copying the dragonfly?" I looked at him and said 'my dd bought this for me and I am NOT copying. Didn't know it was copy righted!" I slammed the door.

Later I confronted him about and told that was not nice and it was very mean and it hurt my feelings. He said it was a joke! Then he walked out. Right is was NOT a joke!

Thank you so much c.ann you have always been sweet. No I am not a dancer I do work in a bar. Why is that an automatic that it is assumed I am a dancer.

But anyway no I am not that sensitive thank you. This was the FIRST time ever that she and he was that mean to me. I was mainly in shock for what I was hearing. Never said that I was not wrong but I do think my reaction is understandable!

The whole incident sounds more like a 5th grade drama than a bunch of adults.

Yep, she is nutty for trying to "own" dragonfly stuff. The bouncer is nutty for making it an issue. You are nutty for doing anything else than looking at them like they are crazy, shrugging and going on with your work.

Wear your necklace whenever you want and ignore any other negative comments about it.

Since you mentioned it I do have a dragonfly tat and i had that LONG before I started. But I haven't ever been one to get on a kick of ONE thing and that is all I can think about or have. I LOVE all things but I do like dragonflies better. if that makes sense? lol

i did think about doing that but I won't i will just wear my necklace or if I get something else as gift or whatever I'll wear that to. But I'm not going to do it just bug her. not my style. thanks

How are they bullying you into not wearing the necklace? Did they say they were going to beat you up if you ever wore the necklace to work again!? Do they taunt you every time you wear it? And why, for the love of God, do you even care what these two people think?

Get a thicker skin, wear the necklace, and ignore them.
