In both parks! :(

Fortunately, most line standby times are still reasonable.

Yikes!!! That has the potential to be absolutely terrible!!!! I'm glad your lines are still manageable!

OMG...imagine this happening in the busy times!!!! Yikes!!!!

Thank goodness it hasn't hurt your visit much.

IDK what happened. Been here 100+ times, never have seen ALL the FP machines down. Also, can't pay with anything but cash at snack carts.

I wouldn't think that the cart payment systems would be connected to the FP system in any way...unless FP communicates wirelessly and the resort's wireless system is down. I wonder if their IP credit card terminals around the resort are running on dial back up right now? Are credit card transactions taking longer than normal in the stores?

We are there beginning Thursday. I hope its all fixed by then :dance3:

It's okay, everyone. The sky does not fall without FP. :goodvibes

It a weekday in early May. It will all be okay without FPs.

:goodvibes

If you are lucky enough to be at the Park, it's a gorgeous day. Enjoy!

my husband actually had to help the CM in Pooh Corner do our credit transaction manually....as in, with one of those card things you slide the tip obwith your hand? Hadn't seen one of those in a looking time. And the CM was so young she had NO idea how to use it.

All of their systems failed today. Disney Dining is down, as is touring and if you need to ask about your AP, its down. They can't book vacations either.

wow sounds like a pain for everyone involved!!:crazy2:

Doesn't surprise me at all. They were having a heck of a time with it yesterday too...

It hasn't been too bad. Walked onto Splash this morning and again about 20 minutes ago. Rode GRR 3 times. Soarin' was about a 10 minute wait, same for Indy. 10 Minutes for Screamin'. In line for PP right now, and its about a 20 minute wait.

The lines for the train have been insane though, lol.

It's so weird to be here and not use FP's. I'd be really bummed though if this had happened during a busier time.

I can't imagine if this happened in June after DCA reboots!

Pulling out the knuckle busters is serious business... does anybody know if WDW is experiencing similar issues? I'm wondering if its a complete crash of their IT systems, or something more local? With the website experiencing down time, I'm thinking this may be company wide. Hacked? Theft? or a test of their systems that went down hill, fast?

Did you happen to notice how many were running? How about the monorail?

They may of only had one going of each, since they can't signal each station to let multiple trains know that it's clear to depart.

Maybe it has something to do with trying to prep both parks for the Re-grand opening? My guess is an IT did something wonky that crashed or overloaded the system, but I'm sure it'll be fixed before the opening :D

Oh No! Now we have to go back to standing in line like we did in the olden days, like 1998 :)

We are all so used to FP now that we forget it really wasn't that long ago when FP didn't exist. When standing in hour long lines, was just what you did to ride, rides like Space Mountain, Indiana Jones or Splash Mountain.

I am sure they will get it back up soon.

Good question. I saw both a forward facing, and a side facing train....but I don't know if they were running simultaneously. We saw an orange monorail train, as well as a blue one running today.
The lines that were the worst, surprised me. IASW was longer than I've ever personally seen it, and the line for JC was so long it snaked up to the upstairs platform.

Other lines were surprisingly short...we waited about 15 minutes for Indy at 8:30pm.

It was more than just fast pass, their entire computer system went down. At the ticket booths they had to manually process credit cards. At the entrance they stamped the date on tickets, pass holders had to show ID as they couldn't scan passes. You could pay for food and merchandise with a credit card, but when they slid it, all it was doing was storing the information for processing later, they were not able to authorize the dollar amounts like they normally would from what I was told, so hopefully they don't get too many cards that were maxed out. Also, I imagine the not scanning tickets is going to cause some issues for non ap guests with multi day tickets later on. Parking was free for most, if not all guests as they couldn't take card and it wouldn't be fair to give free parking to those who don't have cash and charge those that do. Basically anything that requires access to a server was down throughout the resort. Oddly though many nearby places were having problems with credit and debit cards, I don't know if it was related, but if you have used one in the area over the past couple of days, I would watch your balance.

By the time that we got there, they were down to one train, but that may been because of how close it was so close to park closing.
