I just got DC card which also entitles to entertainment rate and am trying to find out what hotels with suites (near room for 5, maybe 6) are located near Universal--staying at Disney on-site at AllStar Movies for 4 nights but plan to move off-site for a couple of nights for Universal.

DC has blacked out the Orlando hotels from their EC. Swan/Dolphin will honor it but people have reported the other hotels are not. You can go to Entertainment web site and look up hotels.

Yes I know that, but I'm not real familiar with the Orlando area and when you check the entertainment website you get about 100 hotels that show up--I'm interested in one with suites that's pretty close to Universal.

Some (most) of the Orlando hotels won't honor the DC card for Entertainment discounts. If you look up the suite hotels and then go to their website you'll find out how far they are from Universal.

Im not sure how far from universal it is..but i got a res. at summerfield suites in lake buena vista with the entertainment rate. they have 1 and 2 bedroom suites with 2 bathrooms.

Dear Pats,
Can I ask how much your entertainment rate is? We are also planning a trip to WDW in Jan. 2002 and have 5 people. We also need at least 2 BR and 2 Baths. We have the Disney Club Card and the Entertainment Rate also. The Summerfield sounds like a good place according to others that have written about it on this board. Thanks, Pomcoach :)

We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel which is on Universal property in June with the entertainment rate of 129.50. This is a pool view room and includes "front of the line access". I read that they have kidsuites, but I don't know if they have regular suites. You may want to call and check if the entertainment rate can be used on suites. Just a thought!

I am going the last week in august. The rate i got was $119 for the 2 bedroom, 2 bath suites. In the ent. book it says 4 night maximum, but when i asked about that they told me i could have it for as long as i want..maybe cause of the time of the year im going, end of season.
