What are the new codes for National 2006? I haven't gotten my book yet and want to check rates. I realize that I have to have the coupon with me...just waiting for a free shipping offer!

I'm looking for the $20 off a weekly rental and the free weekend day codes.

I'm guessing you didn't buy your book through the website, because you should be able to link right to National's website for booking. I don't think the codes are printed on the website, but the link takes you right to the website and usually enters the code.

Let me go look. (My book is at home.)

Thanks for the cods, but were they for 2006? When I used them, I got a message that they will expire before 2006.

I believe the codes listed on the website are only thru Dec. 31, 2005, that's why they won't work.

Anyone have the 2006 book that could PM the codes for weekly and weekends???

I only have the 2006 book...at home. Interesting. Let me take another look at the website. See, with Alamo, I didn't have any problems booking through the website.

It doesn't say anything about an expiration date on the website. And it refers to my 2006 book. But you're right...when I put it in with my Jan. travel dates, it says will expire before those dates. Sorry! The earliest I can get back to you with the actual code from the coupon in the book is probably after 7pm tonight. Hopefully someone else will come through with it before then.

the links on the entertainment site for "coupon" info seems to end in an error message from the national car website now....has been that way for a week or so....


UPDATE****

now when you click get discount it takes you to the website but puts the coupon code into a reservations screen

when the initial quote comes up it says

Discount Coupon Accepted ($20.00 )

wonder if this means you do not have to have the actual coupon when you go through the entertainment website ( probably not since doing a reservation through their website it come up saying the same thing )

scratches head, maybe the website is NOT 100% yet, on the entertainment website it says the "discount" is unlimited, but now you do not seem to be able to print the "coupon" out for presentation

you can no longer try to stack the 10009123 20$ coupons by saying you have more than one, it comes back with an error, seems they have fixed this glitch

I did a search on this board (National coupon codes) and found a link to a coupon that doesn't expire. That and the Priceless code saved me a ton of money. I don't think I will even buy the Entertainment book this year as I won't need the coupon. I could give you the codes, but you will need a coupon so do the search. There are coupons for $20 off a weekly rental, a free weekend day and a one car class upgrade. I rented from a Sunday to Wednesday and it took the free weekend day coupon.

I read here somewhere that the codes stay the same from year to year. The problem seems to be that the National website is not recognizing them for 2006 yet.

Do a search for "National coupon codes"

It's in the thread near the top called something like "can we put all the codes in one thread"

In that thread is a link to coupons. The coupons have no expiration, and I used one for 8/06 that was accepted.

Let me know if you still can't find it.
