About what time of year does the book go down to $10? I'm a yearbook advisor in Montana, and planning to take some students to a workshop in Orange next summer. I want the book to get the entertainment rates at HOJO's, and I know that's the only use I'll get out of it (Oh, I admit it--I like just reading through it and dreaming about doing things in California!). I've ordered the book twice before at it's discounted price, but I was just wondering if anyone knows the approximate time of year that this happens. I'm just, you know, planning and anticipating in advance to stretch out the fun, like we all do here on the board!:goodvibes

Sorry I don't know when they go down in price, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that any entertainment book will work to get the hojos discount. You don't need the Orange County one. :goodvibes

you can get just the card off ebay if your just wanting hotel discount

Thanks! I guess I had read that somewhere, but Montana doesn't have an entertainment book, so the Orange County one is as good as any other for me.

They go down in price by February, I believe.

BallerinaMom posts on here frequently, and she works for Entertainment. If you PM her with your questions, she can definitely help you out! She's awesome!

BTW, if you're going to pick a random book for cheapness, there are cheaper ones than Orange County. I think ours is $25 at regular price, seems like I saw OC at 35 or 40.

Thanks for the tips! I went to Ebay and found a nationwide Entertainment card for 2009 (already?) for only 5.99 plus .99 shipping. I can hardly believe it--I wonder if there's any catch to it?

No catch I got my 2008 card for 3 bucks free shipping and I signed up no problems at all.

It's already been mentioned, but if you don't have one for your area and it doesn't matter what area you get, just get the least expensive. I've found Arkansas to be the least expensive so far. :)

And just in case you end up wanting to do other things, even the South Puget Sound one has Universal Studios coupons (in the actual book, it's not card-based) and various things like that, so they seem to be, ha, universal.

No, no, no. Pm me. Thanks Gail for the compliment!

I was actually having a hard time finding the books online...is it no longer possible to find the 2008 books? Am I not looking in the right place? I thought it might be worth buying one for Cali at a discounted rate since we are driving, and it might give us some savings on meals, ect. I need the 2008 card though, so I am hoping to find a link to one. :confused3

Pm me. I've got 08 cards. They expire November 1

Does anyone know if Canadians can do this too?

There are Canadian Entertainment Books. Where do you live? If you just want the HOJO discount, then you only need a card from any of the 150 cities where the book is offered

I live in B.C. (Vancouver Island) We're hoping to do a trip in 2009. I am interested in the HOJO discount, I'm not sure what else is offered in the book. I have purchased the Vancouver Entertainment Book before. So I could purchase the Vancouver book and get the HOJO discount? What if I wanted the OC one, can I get that?

Thanks for your help!

You can purchase the Vancouver one and still use it for the HOJO. You might find that you use the Vancouver one more throughout the year for the various discounts than you would the OC one, IMHO.

Thank you:)

We might use it more, I'm not too sure. We're on the Island, so I'm not sure how much of it would be relevent to us.

Guess it all depends on how often you go to the mainland.
