I have recently booked a couple of nights at Universal Studios, at the new Royal Pacific Hotel. The rate requires the card from the Entertainment coupon book. I can order this online, however, I know some people use them as a fundraising tool. So, I thought before I order, I would ask if anyone is selling these, for a fundraiser. I would rather see the money go there. Anyway, let me know, if this is possible.
BTW, I got the brand new hotel, similar to the Polynesian theme, for $99 a night in August. After this opening special, rates will be over $200 a night. Thanks

Hi Maryann!Sounds like you got yourself a good deal! Although, you ARE well known as the Good Deal DIS'er! LOL;)

I use the E-book too and I bought ours from our local Animal Welfare agency as we have a kitty that we got from there. You would probably be better getting one locally in St. Catherine's as you don't have to pay shipping etc.! Good luck:wave: :sunny:

Sorry I can't help you with the Entertainment book. I was wondering if you called the hotel directly to get that rate? Do you think it is available all summer until August? We are trying to figure out dates for the summer months and this may just be the deciding factor.

The hotel opens July 15, and i think the rates go for a couple months. I called Loews hotels and asked for the entertainment book rate, might be going fast so call soon. Call 1-800-563-9711. If you dont get the entertainment rate, the opening special was $149 a night which is still less then their regular rack rates.

Thanks to your post I managed to obtain 5 nights at the Royal Pacific in October 2002 for the Entertainment rate of $109 US/night (not including the 11% tax) ... Pool View with a King Bed ... non-smoking.

Thanks :smooth:

Glad i could help. If you need the entertainment book, they have a special on right now. $5 of plus free shipping before Feb 28.. So the book that normally cost $27, cost $22, and no huge shipping amount. You can find it at www.entertainment.com . I looked thru the online site, and just using one or two of the coupons, will pay for the book. Even in my area. Have a great time.

Thank you for your helpful hint on the discount on Entertainment Book. We just joined the Disney Club using the code on Mousesavers so we got the same discount ($10 US) as would have with buying Entertainment Book. I went on-line to Entertainment site through our Disney membership number (haven't received a pkg yet) and got very excited when I saw all the local discounts with Entertainment that I knew nothing about. Also several in Toronto -- our nearest tourist fun. On-line they say "Coupon or Card" on each vendor's description. So my question is... does one need to get the actual book for coupons to use any of these discounts? Is there any added advantage in buying one now -- the Orlando or the Toronto version once one has the Disney Card? I'm thinking we may be able to use the Disney Card with it's Entertainment affiliation discounts for lodging on drive down too? Is this correct?
Thank you all helpful experts here.

The only reason i needed the entertaiment book, and not Disney club, is, the discounts with DC are not good for univeral hotels. I guess disney made sure of that, so, disney club, was up for renewal, instead got the entertainment book for now. But, yes lots of wonderful discounts.
