Entertainment Book code for Enterprise

I am working on pricing a rental car for November, 2013. I have read that the Entertainment Books have codes for Enterprise that are good into 2014. I don't want to buy a book unless I know the code will be better than some of the other discounts I have found.

Could someone share the Enterprise codes? I know I still would have to buy the book to have the coupon, but this way I can see if it's worth my spending $30 for a book that I most likely won't use except for this code. (We don't eat out hardly at all so the rest of the book would be a waste).

You need to have a member number that comes with the book so you can register on the Entertainment Card web site. You then need to use a link through the site to book Enterprise. Sorry.

This is now a moot point since Entertainment books just filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Chapter 7 is the one where they liquidate the assets, pay the creditors pennies on the dollar and close the door (unlike Chapter 11 where they restructure and stay open).

Wonder how many of the merchants will continue to honor the coupons? The positive is that this is unlike Groupon/Living Social/Deal Chicken etc. which doesn't pay the merchant until the coupon is redeemed. BUT...Entertainment book was paid to continue advertising these companies and promoting them.....not getting that advertising and still having to pay discounts will hurt some of the smaller companies. Probably not Enterprise, because you can find many of the same or better coupon values just googling.

Glad I skipped buying one this year.....we're trying to eat healthier and having tempting food coupons just wasn't going to help so I had to disappoint the little girl down the road and not buy one this year (and felt guilty and gave her $5 anyway, lol).

Just read about this also. Entertainment was really just an advertising mechanism for it's merchants. They don't pay the merchant anything when a coupon is redeemed. Of course, merchants paid for advertising in the book. We are pretty much in between books at the moment. The 2014 book would have been due out this fall with the coupons from the 2013 book all expiring on November 1.

I think though that some merchants paid for advertising years in advance. That is why you often saw merchants still in books years after the merchant went out of business.

It does look like their website is up and running still. Cards are on sale on eBay all the time. The sellers will even e-mail you the card number so you can register the card right away. My guess is that the big rental car agencies will continue to honor the paper coupons until expiration. Not sure about the online codes.

It is possible that someone could buy the Entertainment brand, but probably not likely.
