Outside of the Luau, is there any entertainment, either regular or seasonal, at the Poly? How about in the Tambu Lounge?

You can see the fireworks over the castle from the beach at the Poly when they have them and the electrical water pagent comes by too nightly.

Also, O'hana is a great resturaunt with the Big Kahuna there to sing and run activities for the kids such as "coconut rolling races" and " hoola hoop contest".

When we were there in 9/01, they had a woman who sangs songs in the lobby on weekend evenings and she also did a little story time with the kids. I felt the our DD, then 2.5 years, really enjoyed it.

The torch lighting was pretty and I am not sure, but they may do a lady bug release there.

We loved this resort. We normally stay at moderates, but we decided to go back here for our 10th anniversary. Only two yers to go!

Okay, just got back;)

They do still do the torch lighting ceremony - on certain nights (at least at this time of year) and they had kids activities in the lobby in the afternoons -- Sat. they had the lady playing the ukalelee (sp??) and these pom-poms on ropes that they taught the kids to dance and swing with. And yesterday they had coloring and flower bracelet making and I saw hoola-hoops out later that afternoon so I assume they did that too:D

And of course as I mentioned before I left -- they did have the fireworks over the castle at 10pm and the water pagent at 9pm seen right from the beach.
