Okay, so I am 13 years old, my sister is 18 years old and we are leaving for disneyland in 8 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: I already have plans on my mind on how to keep my sister and I entertained in our both flights.
Our first flight is from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Dalla, Texas. That is going to be 5 hours!:scared1: We plan to see a movie like Monters Inc. We also plan to draw and color about disneyland to get more excited. Of course, we can also see the movie they are giving in the plane. My sister and I are also going to listen to our i-pods. What else should we do?- that won't bother mom which will be sitting right beside me! I KNOW she WILL sleep for an hour or maybe more. Okay, so w get to Dallas at lunch time. Then it's the airplane to Orange County, California, which is I think almost 3 hours!!:scared1: :scared1: What should we do there, besides listening to our i-pod. Do you guys have any fun games you play in the plane. But remember DISers, I CANNOT bother my mom, or else when we arrived to California, finally, she will get cranky. I do not want that.

Any advice, anyone?????????

P.S. Please, games for 13 years olds that 18 year olds we also be interestd in........

Could you take a book to read? Or maybe a magazine that has crossword puzzles, word searches & things like that? Of course, maybe you all could get a little sleep too so that you'll be ready to have fun when you get there.

Ask your mom if she can find any travel sized board games. A lot of times you can find Checkers or Connect Four. Simple games, but good time wasters. Bring paper and a pencil and play Hangman, or Tic Tac Toe. Bring a book to read, maybe a favorite that you have already read, because you wont be able to concentrate on anything new when you are thinking so much about Disney. And it is smart to not bother mom. :thumbsup2

I am an obsessive planner...I would try to find some sort of travel book about Disneyland and make lists of what you want to do each day, or where you want to eat...Maybe even a hidden mickey book so you know where to look!

Oh yeah that's right. I can bring a book I've already read. I already have one in mind.:lmao: Thanks!:thumbsup2

Anything else, 'cause most of the things you've said I already had in mind, and it doesn't really work without pair: like hangman, tic tac toe......( sometimes my sister just wants to listen to her i-pod or just jave some alone time....but I don't! I always stay active...

How can I control myself?:rotfl2:

A deck of cards and some internet research on varations of solitaire.

I hope your mom realizes what a great kid she has!! In our family, my kids (ages 14, 13, 5, and 3) feel that it is MY duty to keep them entertained!!

Oka, so I went today to Build-abear- workshop to buy clothes for Ginger( my bunny)
I will be carryig her all the time in the airport and in the plane. Will people look at me weird because a 13 year old girl is carrying a stuffed animal in her hands throught the airport? My 18 year old sister is planning to do the same. We are kids at heart!

What are your opinions? my this also keep me entertained during the flight?

Not sure about the stuffed animals, but if it's okay with your mother and the two of you carry them, why not?

On the plane: Do you like puzzles? I'm thinking word search, crosswords, Sudoku (spelling?)--anything like that. Even Hocus Focus type puzzles--determining which images are in one drawing but not the other. Not sure what they're actually called--we used to have "Hocus Focus" in the daily newspaper.

I love colouring! Wonder if fellow travelers would find it odd to see a young grandmother colouring--without children! *LOL*

I will also dress my build-a-bear as Aurora in the plane for California. So when we get there, people will see that we are headed off to Disneyland! Is it okay?

Suggestions please!!!!!

how about getting a cheap hand held game - like free cell or tetris - i sometimes can go an hour listening to music and playing free cell and not even know it - and you can get them for $10 or less - it'll make time fly on that last leg -

I think the build a bear is adorable! You would need your sister (or maybe another 13/14 y/o near you on the plane- but I LOVE Mad Libs (& I'm 34!).
