Enterprise at MCO

The MCO website suggests that Enterprise is now in the MCO terminal. Is that correct?

Anyone use Enterprise lately? I saw some old posts where people were complaining about Enterprise's "hard sell" on insurance. Anyone have any recent experiences, negative or positive, they're willing to share? Are the cars in good shape (at least comparable to Alamo - the only one I have any experience with)?

I now have 2 reservations for my 10 day August trip - $250 for a standard car with Alamo, and $400 for a convertible with Enterprise (thanks to a tip I saw on the boards earlier today). I'm willing to pay the extra for a convertible (my kids would be really excited if we rented one), and we are going to be doing lots of driving this trip, so it would be worth it. But I have never rented through Enterprise at MCO and I'm worried about service issues.

Yes, they are in the terminal now but I have not used them there. I did use them once from their old location and did not get a hard sale on insurance.

When you say in the MCO terminal what do you mean? Last year when I went I saw that enterprise was located on level 1 next to the Alamo desk.. has it moved? Also does anyone happen to know if you are able to choose your own car with enterprise at MCO like you can with alamo? TIA

All (or at least most) of the rental companies have counters inside the terminal. That doesn't change from company to company. What is different is whether you can access your car by walking to it from the terminal or whether you have to take a shuttle bus to get there. I try to avoid the shuttles - the faster I can get into my car, the faster I'll be at WDW.

Enterprise used to be an "off-site, shuttle" rental company, but the MCO website now has them listed as "on-site" - meaning you can walk across the street to the parking garage and pick up your car. I was trying to confirm that this is correct.

Yes, you walk across to the garage and they are there. No shuttle required.

This is great to hear, thank you! Also, do you know if you are able to choose your own car like Alamo or are you assigned one? Just kind of curious! I appreciate the info a lot.

I've never found them to be more of a hard sell on the insurance than any other company. At most locations, they will bring a car around for you but if you have preferences, I've found them to be accommodating. However, now that they are on-site I don't know if that has changed.
