Entering Member number

I just called MS. I was asked to enter my member ID# and phone # before I was connected. Only had to state last four of social# with MS cm. When did this start? It seemed quicker,if only my fingers didn't keep hitting the wrong numbers!

I just encountered this today. 1st time I have heard of this change when calling MS. Less time idenifing yourself with MS.
I am going to have issues with this later on as I have multiple member numbers.

They started this last Monday. It seems to be different for different callers. I had to also put in my last four ss before being connected to MS. Others have not. Some people say they have to then give all the information all over again once MS answers the phone. Others have not. It's only been a week, so we'll see how this plays out.
