Entering Epcot in morning from Boardwalk/Beach Club

What choices are available for getting in to Epcot from the Boardwalk-area hotels?

I know the International Gateway is a short walk - and will certainly be our preferred method - but is it open at 9 am so we can get into FutureWorld? And does it open at 8 on Epcot Early Entry day?

Is there a bus that goes from the Boardwalk-area hotels to the Epcot front gate? Is it shared by all of the area resorts?

My main concern is on EE morning - DS and I will want to get in to Mission:Space as fast as possible. I'm thinking the front gates will be better - since you can get a bit of a head start with the Spaceship Earth rope drop! Even if the Gateway opens at 8, I'm thinking its a looooooong walk over to Mission:Space (which means looooooots of people beat us into the line! LOL)

There are no buses from the Epcot resorts to Epcot, you can either walk or take the ferry to the International Gateway. The walk way is open, but they rope off the World Showcase, you walk around over towards the United Kingdom and Canada. Then you can cut over towards Test Track and go from there.

It is a long walk, but M:S loads relatively fast. We did the walk in about 15 minutes - and we weren't sprinting. Then my husband and I took the single riders line and were on M:S three minutes after getting there. We ended up getting on and off the ride at the same time, just weren't in the same capsule.

If you really want to go in the front way, you will probably need to drive or take a cab.

Leave a little earlier and enjoy the walk or do it again another morning. This is one of my favorite things to do. You are walking through the UK, Canada and the gardens along the way pretty much alone. It's a great way to sip your coffee and enjoy the surroundings.

We were there two weeks ago.

There aren't any buses to Epcot or MGM from Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach. You can walk or take the boats to the International Gateway. People were lined up at the security check and they did not start checking bags until 8:59am.

It used to be you could get through the IG and stand at the rope in front of the UK before 9:00am. But, they appear to have changed this. You won't be able to beat the front gate folks to M:S. But, we found the wait to be less than 15 minutes.
