Yes...but only if you're staying at a Disney hotel. I imagine they'll get much more strict about that with all of the WoC chaos.

They've been enforcing that more recently, especially early in the day.

If you're not staying in one of the Disney hotels, your first "entry" of the day has to be through the main turnstiles.

the entrance to DCA from GCH hotel .. have never had a problem, never been stopped! maybe for non hotel and ticket guests have to go through turnstiles, but i have gotten through with my pass as my first entry...\


now u may be right nala for WOC they may change that. but other then anyother normal saturday i have never had a problem getting through.

HUH! interesting. i am sure your right, but i have never been turned away. and niether has any other AP i have seen go through. , i think that maybe just regular day ticket holders can't use the DCA/GCH entrance till they have gone through the front enterance,as said above...

maybe it depends on the pass they have, maybe it;s becuase they are blocked out and don't even know it till the pass has been scanned??

I wouldn't risk it if it was your one shot at getting WoC fastpasses. Can you imagine getting turned back and being sent to the very back of the mob at the front entrance? Nightmare!

If you are at a Disney hotel, definitely use the entrance through GC. If not, don't risk it- head to the main entrance first thing.

So, there is a possibility of being able to get through if you are staying offsite? We are at the Anabella, and I have heard that is a quicker way into the park. Can you exit that way? Say, after WOC? If we have been in DL in the AM, and coming into DCA for afternoon, is it likely to work?

umm, i assume you are pass holders--sooooo it is a quicker way into DCA. yes you can exit that way also(specially if its super crowded), i have done the DL in am and gone that way into DCA before -only because i took a side trip to sephora( lol). BUT apparantly i was wrong with going through that way, so don't take my work for it! plus if its during WOC, it may be different! but i can;t imagine that they would "close" that entrance down . i mean how would the hotel guests get back to there rooms?

i don't know ..but the thing is, i think u need to go to the main entrance gates for dca for your firs entry, the back entrance(as i call it) to GCH you can get your hand stamped and leave that way, but to enter you can show hadn stamp etc...so i don't know if maybe they will change it for WOC..i just don't know. all i know is that when i go, i don;t have a problem getting in that way--BUT WOC is right around the corner--they may have changed it like nala said..but don't take my word for it

Exit that way is no problem. Entering early morning is. Later in the day not so much.

Hmmm... we have generally been asked for a room key when using this entrance at opening. At other times, they haven't worried.

I did note this particularly around the opening of TSM...so I think it is reasonable to expect that they will check keys with WOC starting.

Also, if the Al Lutz suggestions about Hotel users getting a special WOC FP queue turn out to be accurate, I think you will have no chance of entering there as a non hotel guest, regardless of ticket type.

I think you both are right. i think that for WOC with the fastpass line and all being right there that they may only let hotel guests in/out that area. BUT i also think that after the dust settles for WOC, that even pass holders will be able to go that way either to hotel or back to DCA. oh yes i have a friend who is staying at GCH, he said that friday morning at 8 am on the 11th, he and the rest of the hotel(most likely) will be getting special tickets for WOC, i think they get to see it on the top floor patio like area! how cool is that!
