Entering AK

Just read a tip online that says to enter AK through the gift shop of Rainforest Cafe. Anyone ever heard of that?

Yes, you can do that. I don't. Not sure why that's a tip
Is it to avoid a line? We just go without bags, line avoided

Yes it is true... It may save you a few minutes.. we do it every trip just because there is never anyone waiting and it is more relaxed...

I never had a long wait at AK even at RD upon entry. They have the most entry lanes at any park at AK.

You could do that I guess, but its not really necessary

We've gone through Rainforest when the lines have been long but not the bag check lines since those move fairly fast. It's been when the entrance turnstile lines have been mobbed and we needed to be somewhere at a certain time. We've also done it just to see if anything was on sale in the gift shop or when my brother-in-law is with us as he loves Animal Kingdom but doesn't like people.
