Hi everyone. DH and I are on the 10.21 3 night Wonder sailing. Debbie just called me (excellent) to book spa and Palo reservations for our REAS package. I got the Palo time we wanted but the spa was only available at 3pm (I wanted 4pm) on CC day. Do you think 9am-2:30pm will give us enough time on CC? Everyone has to be aboard the Wonder at 4:30pm but I don't want to miss anything:) We plan on snorkeling, relaxing and eating lunch on CC but not much else. Thanks!

Oh yes, I think that is plenty of time. You will have sun/fun and a great lunch...we are usually read to get back on the ship by 3 or so, and we usually head to the spa..lol.

If those are the only activities you plan for CC you should have plenty of time from 9am-2:30pm. Last year when we went DW went parasailing and then we snorkled and had lunch. DD had a picture taken with Minnie Mouse and we had time to do a little browsing at She Sells Seashells. We were back on board about 2:30 just because it was so hot on CC in August.

There is never enough time on Castaway Cay! But, I DO advise you to take extra precautions from the sun. A trip to the spa involving any kind of scrubbing or rubbing with a sunburn is NOT fun!

Even though it says back on board at 4:30, they really start moving people around 3-3:30. They make everyone get out of the water and start stacking the chairs up. I asked a CM last time why they do that and he said there are too many people to get back on board to wait until later to get everyone moving.

We did exactly those three things on CC (and had time to shop too!) and we were back on the ship by 3:30 so the kids could get to the club for their show rehearsal at 4:00.
Now, you may not get on the island at 9:00. It was actually closer to 10:00 when we stepped off the ship (they didn't start letting people off until 9:15 and then it took us forever standing in line to get off. But still...we snokeled for about 2 hrs., we rented a paddle boat for a half hour, ate lunch then did some shopping. :)

You will be fine. I am surprised she called you so early though. I thought they waited until final payment is made around 60 days prior. Others must have been called already also if there wasnt much available to you. Anyone know if this is usual?

Carlnne-I called Debbie last Friday and left a message and she called me back Monday to book. I used the phone number posted here on the DIS. I read that people were booking as far out as November sailings. I am glad I did because the 4pm time on CC day was gone already! 8am, 12pm, 5:45pm, 7pm and 8pm were left on Nassau day, but we have a room booked at the Comfort Suites and will be at Atlantis all day. I forget the times left on CC day but I think 6pm was left.

If I don't want to stand in line to get off the ship at Castaway Cay what time should I get off?

It just really depends on what time they let people off the ship. My DH was supposed to meet at Marge's Barges at 9:15 for the bottom fishing, but it was physically impossible since they weren't letting people off the ship yet.
We were on the starboard side and the ship had pulled head first into Castaway so we were able to see when they started letting people off, then we went down and waited in line (if I knew there was that long a line I would have waited, we were in no rush). If you can watch from the side of the ship, I say check it out around 9:30-9:45 and see if it's a lot of people getting off or just a few straggler's.

there is never enough time on CC!!! Once you are there you dont want to leave.. its so addicting! (im dying to go back!)
