Enlighten me on this Kiss Goodnight please

Does Tinkerbell fly away from the Castle or straight down from the top? Is she easy to miss because I was staring so hard, I couldn't enjoy any of the fireworks last time. Also, how small or large is she? Sorry for all the questions. It was the one thing I really wanted to see last trip and ended up missing. Is it impressive or am I making a big deal out of nothing?

She flys down at an angle toward the right of the Castle. Her wings are even lite up with lights. She is her 'full' size.

She doesn't fly if there's even a hint of lightening.

I just watched that video and it was breathtaking. I really hope we catch that while we're there - I teared up just watching that little clip *blush*

Also Tink flies during wishes, not the Kiss Goodnight. You can't miss her because the fireworks don't really start until she flies.

Thank you for posting that link to the video.

All I can say is thank goodness for Extreme Home Makeover - because of them it's now cool for guys to get teary-eyed! :umbrella:

We will be in the MK in 32 days, and this will be something we definitely will want to see.

Okay, let me ask you this, do they do it every single night, and if so, do they do it during the seasons when the park closes earlier, say 7pm or 8? Where would be a really good place to be to hear and see everything?

I've heard many times on the DIS that this is one hour after closing. Steve Soares site lists this on his schedule (see below) and it looks like it's done at 30 min, 60, min, and 90 min after close. Can anyone confirm which is right?

NP Kiss Goodnight
Sunday, Monday & Thursday at 8:30, 9:00 & 9:30pm
Tuesday & Friday at 7:30, 8:00 & 8:30pm
Wednesday at 10:30, 11:00 & 11:30pm(Extra Magic Hours)
Saturday at 10:00, 10:30 & 11:00pm
Cinderella Castle light show.

TIA, Calie

So this is done three times every night? Someone also mentioned that Mickey stands and waves as people leave. When and how long is he there?

We just happened upon this on our last night at WDW. We ate at Chef Mickey's and then walked to MK to pick up a photo and buy a couple of gifts. We were arriving there just as Wishes was finishing. As we were leaving we heard Mickey wishing everyone, " Bye-Bye, Hope to see you again real soon." Our one year old daughter turned and saw Mickey at the Train Station, looked up at him and said, "Bye-Bye". These were some of her first words. As you can imagine my husband and I were in tears, and even though we did not have the video camera with us we will always remember it. I did get a photo of Mickey waving from the train station.

I did not realize this happens every night. It was just Disney magic to us!

I don't have quick time and I am dying to see what it is!! This is the first I've heard about a Kiss Goodnight. What happens? What's said? What is it?!?! OK sorry got a little too excited there.
thanks in advance!
