Enjoying BCV right now...any Qs?

We checked into BCV yesterday and after a bit of a mixup on an accessible room, we're settled in. We had dinner at R&C last night. After we returned to the rooms, my husband sighed and said "I like this."

Now if I can ever convince him to spend weekend points at BCV, we'll be set. Actually, I do enjoy staying at other resorts too but it would be nice to just settle in for good once in a while.

We're doing the DDP for the DVC portion of this trip.

If anyone has any questions, I'll be glad to try to answer.

No questions. Just wanted to say I hope you have a wonderful time. I bit the bullet for our upcoming trip and we are spending 4, yes, 4 weekend nights at BCV. It cost bunches of points and now that I am over the initial shock of how many points this trip is cost I am thrilled with the idea of being at my beloved home for 9 nights. It is a great feeling!!!

We have a split stay in Nov, inlcuding 6 nights in a studio at BCV - can't wait!

We were at BCV a little over a week ago and DH had to go down for gelato EVERY night! Raspberry is his favorite. I like the lemon.

does anyone else think BCV foyer has a strange smell? Not a stink, nothing offensive, but it has a smell I can't put my finger on?

Wow! We both have had those moments, when we get settled in and look around and say, "This is so great!"

Enjoy your stay! We'll be at the BCV on June 10th, the 41st anniversary of the day we met! Last year the F&G show was having it's last weekend, so that was even more special, we saw Herman's Hermits!

I would check the F&G schedule for the special presenters, we were there this year when Clyde Butcher gave his slide presentation and it was magnificent. We really enjoy the specials they have at F&G!

My favorite flavor! When I went in January, they said it had been discontinued. And when I went 2 weeks ago, no sign of it. I'd love to hear it came back, though.

Simba's Mom and JSalina, gelato flavors today were chocolate, mango, rum raisin (actually a different name?), almond something, raspberry and one more I can't recall. I don't think it was lemon though.

Bobbi, 41 years of memories! Congratulations. What a wonderful place to celebrate. The flowers this year are spectacular. My son and his wife said there is a pirate ship sculpture near the front entrance but we haven't seen it yet. They said it is amazing.

It does have a distinctive smell to me too. But I just associate it with BCV and so all's well.

Thanks, Michelle. How are your plans coming? I'll be anxious to see if there are any signs of rehab at the GF this weekend. We haven't even been there for a meal yet. We did have breakfast at Kona this am. That is a treasured tradition for my family and we even had Gary who has been a server there as long as I remember.

CharityLynn and Treacle, I love the Epcot side best especially the rooms with a view of the woods or fairy ring. But with a rollin 2BR, pool view is the only choice and I've come to love that as well.

Just today I asked my husband when we were going to start to use our points on weekends. He said never. Ah, well....work to be done there.

Oh, and one bit of news. The spa went down for maintence today until Thursday. But there was a sign that the spa at the leisure pool of BC was an alternative. I smiled thinking of the recent thread about leisure, unguarded vs. "quiet pool" controversy.
