Engineering professional development studies?

Hey, has anyone taken the engineering professional development studies course? This course is the big reason I want to go to Disney-- I'm an engineering major and trying to find out if Imagineering is for me. Can anyone tell me what it was like and how it went for them or if you liked it? My dad's kinda bumming me out, making me think that I'll get there and realize that there's not much information given and that I just "go to Disney for a semester for no reason". Ughhh, he was a Marine Lt. Col, so it's not his fault completely. Thanks for any help!

P.S. information on any of the PDS courses would probably be helpful. Thanks!
