I wanted to thank you all for giving me some great ideas on the engagement at WDW. I just had a few more questions

1) does anyone know anything about how a CM will help me arrange it if i call them?

2) does anyone know anything more about the glass slipper? i have heard you can buy one at a store in WDW, and i also have heard they are made of choclate which is served with dessert at resturants. I was just wondering which is it or if it is both.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

From what I understand, CMs will help you accomplish pretty much anything that you can dream up when it comes to an engagement. I'm not entirely sure whick number you would call though...I think it would depend on where you were planning to propose. Maybe Disney Dining if you're proposing in a restaurant? But don't quote me on that.

As for the glass slipper, they do sell actual glass slippers. I've heard of people proposing at CRT with the real glass slipper. I'm not sure if they can coordinate this anywhere else, though I'm pretty sure they could. The dessert slipper (which is so beautiful) is only available at the Gland Floridian. However, there might be exceptions for engagements.

Also, of course, while Disney will I'm sure be thrilled to help you celebrate your engagement, it will come at a small fee. ;)

Pre-congratulations on your engagement!!! Whatever you choose will be wonderful!

The dessert slipper used to be on the menu at CRT. It's not on the regular menu anymore, but people have reported being able to call ahead and pre-order one there, as well as at the Grand Floridian restaurants (you also have to preorder the slipper at the GF).

There are different sizes for the glass slippers. They have small ones with a birthstone which you could get the month stone for when you get engaged. I believe there are 3 different sizes and all are engraveable. You could have "will you marry me?" put on it. In DTD there is a store (arriba bros) and you could get it there. In MK I believe the jewerly store has them.

If you call the Fairytale Weddings department they can tell you about the package at CRT. It includes a personalized glass slipper, along with the ring, as well as dinner with a table at the window overlooking the park.
If you call a restaurant directly, more than likely the CM's there would be really helpful for you. Most restuarants, though it's not printed anywhere, already have ideas for engagement meals.

go to arribasbrothers.com and check out the glass slippers. There are a couple different sizes and prices. They have a store in DTD and on Main Street. You can have it shipped to you before your trip in the event it would be hard to sneak away while down there to buy it. :thumbsup2

I would just like to add that we also had CRT champagne glasses (filled with apple cider, there is no alcohol in the MK!!) as well as 2 Mickey proposing pins!!!

I just called WDW and they told me there really isnt any planning people who work on engagements. does anyone know if this is def. true or if there are CMs i could get in touch with?

As noted above, the Fairytale Weddings Department handles the engagement package at CRT.
If you want something done directly at a restaurant, call 407-wdw-dine and ask for the phone number to the restaurant you'd like to do it at directly. Like at Tepanyaki Grill...the chef can put it in his hat and do this flippy thing and wahla! a ring! :teeth:

giftsofalifetime is the only way to do it at a park, if you want to do it in a restaurant then what yellowfish says is the way to do that.
Good luck

You've got about three or four threads going on different boards at the same time. Are you checking all of them? Someone may have already provided the info. you are looking for.

If you decide to propose at one of the restaurants, just excuse yourself from the table to go to the restroom and go somewhere that your *Almost* Fiance can't see you and ask a CM to call your waiter over. You can arrange everything directly with him/her. If you want the parents there...just invite them to dinner with you.
