Hello everyone! I am a long-time-lurker-turned-bride-to-be and am so excited to start planning! Our wedding isn't going to be until November of 2012, but we are going to take our engagement pictures this fall so we can use them as our std/Christmas card. We are taking our pictures at the Grand Floridian and Polynesian and I really want to bring a unique Disney prop of some kind but can't decide what to use!

Originally I had planned on using the bride and groom mickey ears, but a good friend of mine did that for her engagement pictures and I know she wouldn't like it if I did the same thing....

Everyone on this board seems so creative and I am definitely not lol-I would love any help you can offer! I just need a little Disney flair to spice them up a bit :) Thanks for your help! :stitch:

My fiance and I are having our engagement pictures done in WDW in Sept, so I'm in the same boat.

I saw some e-pics that Randy Chapman did recently where they use a bunch of Mickey-shaped balloons. It was cute and gave the photos a lot of color.

Congrats! First I just have to say that both the Poly and the GF are pretty fantastic "Disney props"! But if you need to gild the Lilly, so to speak, the balloons are a great idea, I like Mickey ear signs (like the fans people do?) maybe write something on them? The Arndts did our pics and had a DFTW umbrella we used as a prop in some shots. Personally, I think Cindy's castle makes a dramatic yet understated statement.... Have fun!! :goodvibes

You could do traditional Mickey ears and a fun button bouquet? Still the same feel, but not copy cat. :) the button bouquets are adorable, and a prop I'm considering myself.

Thanks everyone! These are such great ideas-we are also doing our pictures with the Ardnts! Vicki said we could bring a prop so I figured we should bring something-I agree that the castle is a perfect prop in itself, but I wanted to have something fun and unique for the close up pictures :) I really appreciate the help-I'm just so excited!!:yay:

Congratulations! We did our e-pics with The Arndts too and they will be doing our DFTW pictures. You'll love them! :cutie: They brought the red Mickey ear balloons. I'm sure if you ask, they would bring them for you too. Have fun!

I agree on the Mickey balloons, I am ordering them for my MK shoot as well!

Have you thought about sign props from Etsy? I have ordered everything form "Just Kiss the Girl" to "Happily Ever After"....

That is so cool that they would bring a balloon! I really do love that idea-and a great way to bring in a bright color! Also, I hadn't even thought about looking into Etsy. These ideas are exactly why I asked this question here, you guys are the best! Thanks again!

I am another newly engaged Disney bride to be, we have booked our engagement shoot for next October, some really great ideas here though, I am off to look on Etsy!

For the Poly you could have pretty flower luies (?sp) - the polynesian flower garlands that wear around your neck and for the GF maybe something Victorian. I parasol would be nice if you are not using one for your wedding. There are shops on Etsy/E-Bay which sell parasols with words or numbers on them - like dates if you are using the photos for your S the D or your names or maybe even 'Merry Christmas'. Just search for 'Wedding parasols' and I am sure something will come up!! Good luck and don't forget to come back and show us the photos!!
