Engagement Pic in Disneyland

Has anyone had professional pictures taken in Disneyland? I got engaged there and we'd really like to bring our photographer there this week to do our engagement pictures. However, I have seen on the Disneyland website that they don't allow "professional" cameras in the park. However, I have seen many wedding photographers display Disneyland engagement pics on their websites. Anyone know how they get in? Does Disneyland mind if you don't bother other guests at all? We of course would follow the no flash on rides rules, and others like that. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I think the "professional" equiptment is subjective. I remember a thread on here where a guy managed to ask someone in guest relations and there was a limit on your lens size? It made me think that maybe they are trying to keep paparazzi out for when celebrities visit the park? I think it is subjective, because everytime I visit, I manage to see someone with a fairly nice camera with an assortment of lenses.

I agree with this. On my last trip I was only asked once at bag check to take my camera out so the cast member could see it.

ArielsMelody, if I were you, I would probably speak with someone at Disneyland. If you explain your situation, I think they'd probably be okay with it. Good luck! :)

Thanks for the responses. I actually spoke to a professional photographer today who does engagement sessions in Disneyland. He said that in general if you are polite and don't disturb other guests no one really minds. Technically they will tell you to not use a camera with a lens longer than 6 inches, but he said he's never had a problem even with that. I think it's all about not being disruptive. Man, how many times have I been on POTC and there have been people taking FLASH pictures?! I wish THEY would be asked to leave! LOL!

I would shout: "They call it a dark ride for a reason!" :rotfl:
