ENDLESS SUMMER RESORT.

Likely a dumb question...

I have a room only reservation for September and will be needing to pay it when we check in. Can I use a Universal gift card to do so?

Yes! It just might take you a couple of extra minutes at check-in. There's a specific way to do it and not everyone knows how to do it so they might have to get a manager.

Another question. Are towels provided at the pool? Or should we grab them from the room?

In the 2 bedroom suite, will a pack a play fit in the bedroom with a door? Looking at the room plan, it looked like it would be a tight fit, but hopefully doable?

I've stayed there many times. The extra room is very small. There might possibly be room to squeeze one into the corner, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'm looking for opinions.
I can't decide between Endless Summer or Cabana Bay.
I've stayed at CB before in a family suite.
I think I'd rather the ES rooms as it gives us a lot more space for our family.
But I guess my issues are this - what is the distance to City Walk on the bus? What are the food options like? What is the pool like compared to CB?
My kids really enjoy swimming, so a good pool is important, but not more important than a good nights sleep.

Are the rooms noisy at ES ?
I'm not sure if we should try Dockside or Surfside? I hear Dockside is a lot more busy with people.

Any and all advice welcome.
WE will be visiting in May 2025 for around a week

I can`t answer all your questions as we`ve never stayed there but for the buses, it is all of a couple of minutes on the bus. If you look at Google Earth images, you`ll see it`s just over the I-4 from where the buses drop you. Traffic lights are your only delay, but it`s no time at all and everyone always talks of how reliable the buses are.

Food courts get a good reputation from what I`ve seen on here.

CBay pool does seem to have the edge over other pools, both Surf and Dockside pools don`t seem to be anything special.

I`m sure you`ll get some more answers to your questions from others who know more than I do about the hotels.

We stayed at Endless Summer - Surfside in early 2023, and I agree the busses didn't take long. We had plenty of options for food - there were always grab-and-go things if you were in a hurry, and and several stations making fresh things whenever were down there. (There is a Starbucks as well, but I didn't go there, and the lines looked pretty long sometimes.) The pool was fine - not quite as cool as Cabana Bay being right next to Volcano Bay, but we never lacked for chairs, and the poolside bar was good. I don't remember noise being a problem.

I don't really notice any difference in the bus ride between the two resorts. I would not base a decision on that. I suspect the rides are within 1-2 minutes of each other. The biggest variable is which lights you hit. Then another minute difference to walk the extra bit of bus drop off if you are staying at Surfside.

The pools are big enough but kinda generic.

The menus at both resorts are listed online. Dockside has a larger variety at their food court. Both the ES resorts are also located near enough to walk to a few outside food places, if you want to head off property without a car.

The bus ride is very quick. Maybe 3-5 minutes depending on if you hit the traffic light. We've never waited more than a few minutes for a bus. The food court is pretty good - not quite as many options as CB, but still some tasty options. The pool is just a pool, no slide or anything special.

The main reason we always choose ES is the three actual beds versus a pull out sofa, plus a second room.

We prefer Surfside because it isn't as large and spread out.

We ended up booking Surfside :)

Question, do the rates for this hotel ever go down? I'm looking at a 2 Bedroom suite in April at either Dockside or Surfside and I currently see they're at $281 a night (8 nights total), which is way more compared to other dates.

Isn't it Spring Break?
They usually have AP rates but they're never guaranteed and based on demand.
I've got a 2BR suite at Surfide in May for 9 nights and it was around $180 a night

Depending on when you are going in April, there are cheer competitions that are going on and the Endless Summer Resorts are one of host hotels. Unfortunately these competitions are also the week of Easter so double whammy for prices

What is the best route to walk to Walgreens from Surfside? When I do Google maps, it seems longer than it should be.

Is there a short cut through the hotel? Do you have to cross at Universal & International Dr.?

The resort is fully fenced and so while it seems close you can only get out near the entrance. There is a pedestrian gate near the entry driveway, walk straight up the street, cross the road ant the lights and go into Walgreens. Walk takes 5 minutes.

Thank you for the clarification!

Looking at the map, the little crosswalk to the left of the entrance of the hotel that runs into the fence, is that the pedestrian walkway? I see the fence and I assume the fence has a door to get out 😂. If yes, can I also get back in this way?

I vaguely recall seeing that pedestrian gate during prior stays at Surfside. As I had a car both times, it didn't hold much interest for me, but at least one time I saw some people using it. The gate is along the access driveway that leads to the parking garage. The gate works both ways. It might have limited hours in terms of requiring a keycard and/or being closed at certain times--probably need to investigate that.

Awesome, thanks!

Yes you get back in that way, you are meant to swipe your door card, but every time we went through the previous people hadn’t closed it properly so just walked in.
