Some of you may know that we have been trying to sell our motorhome, which we call The Holiday Road, for a month or two. We've loved that thing and made great memories over the past 3 1/2 years, but with our adoption we just don't see being able to use it much over the next year. Plus, even though it is a bunk model Winnebago, it would start to get a bit tight for a family of 7. And I hate to have something that expensive sitting around not being used enough.
Well, we have found a buyer! A nice family from Canada is buying it to begin traveling extensively with their 2 kids. It will be perfect for them. They are getting a good deal, and I am happy with the price I'm getting. They are coming to finalize the transaction the first week of August. It will be so sad to see it drive away! But life goes on, eh?
So, our camping adventures are over for a while. Once we bring little Mary home from Russia our lives will be pretty full of doctors visits, therapies, and whatever else her needs are, and it will take some time to settle into all that. But, our hope is that by this time next year we will be in a position to get back out there in a TT. We have already purchased what will be our new tow vehicle...a Ford E-350 with 6.8L V10. Matched to a bunkhouse TT, it will make a nice combo for a return trip to the Fort in October 2011, don't you think?
Sorry for rambling on. It's just a BIG change for me and the family, and it is therapeutic for me to type it all out and share with my Fiends.
