I need help deciding what to pack for my trip, which is the week after THanksgiven. Should I be fine with long jeans, short sleave shirts, long sleeve shirts, fleece sweaters and a jacket. Hat, gloves and scarf. Please advise

I'm planning on bringing a mix of a few things. This time of year, the evenings are usually cooler, but the weather this time of year can be a mix, going from cold to warm the next day.

We are from NEPA, so it's normally colder at that time, so we'll probably have our jackets for traveling already, plus I'll bring my gloves.

I'm bringing 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of jean shorts and 2 pairs of capri's, plus a mix of shirts that I can layer as needed. If needed, I can do a quick load of laundry at our resort one afternoon.

Before we go, I'll be watching the weather and that could help determine if I add/remove anything.

Have a fantasmic trip!

Thanks for the help. I guess I am getting stressed out the closer the days get to our vacation. I really don't want to overpack. I tend to do this on previous vacations.

We were there last year during the last week of November and will be back in (I can't believe it!) 36 days -- last year, we went swimming without being cold and wore coats and gloves the next night for Illuminations. I'm afraid we'll be packing a little bit of everything this year, but definitely a fleece or sweatshirt that will hold up to a few day's wear if necessary, gloves for the children, and swimsuits, too! As you can see from the pic (below), layering is key!

Last Thanksgiving trip me and my girls wore alot of sweatsuits/windsuits with tank tops that way we could layer up during the early mornings, tie the jackets around our waists for the day and layer back up for the evenings. However one night it got REALLY cold. Thankfully we had brought heavier jackets just in case.

36 days to go for us as well. Kind of hoping it's cold enough we'll just have our heavier coats on so we don't take up a lot of room in the suitcase. From what everyone has suggested on here, we're also going to plan for hot and cold. I don't want the kids wanting to go back to the resort just because they're cold. We'll be watching the weather very closely as well.

We can't wait for this trip to get here!!!

I've been this week twice so far, one was HOT and one was FREEZING. :)

I guess I'll pack for layers as well and take my scarf/gloves. It'll be a good excuse to buy another WDW hoodie. :teeth:

It all depends on where you live. We live in Northern Ohio, so we were fine with jeans and a light windbreaker when it got down to lower 50's at night. I know my cousin from GA would have her teeth chattering if it was 50 and wearing a winter coat with gloves, hat and scarf. You know what you're used to. Check the weather the week before and plan accordingly. We will be there the same time, and I REFUSE to bring winter wear to Florida!! I'm such a Northerner. :rotfl2: If worse comes to worse and we do get cold, can anyone tell me where we can buy a sweatshirt :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I highly doubt that we will freeze, I do remember seeing at least one store with sweatshirts :goodvibes

I think this time of year is a hit or miss with weather. I am going thanksgiving week and hoping that it will be warm enough to go to the water parks one day. We are having a very warm fall in New England, so I hope it stays warm in FLa.
I will be checking the forecast before we go.

We went the week after Thanksgiving last year and we had a little bit of everything. Just pack clothing items that you can layer and be sure and hit the dollar tree and get some of those stretchy gloves in case the nights are chilly. They are small and lightweight to throw in the backpack or a jacket pocket. We also swam last year, wore shorts and t-shirts, then the last few days of our trip (the first 3 days of Dec.) we wore jeans, short/long sleeve shirts and took sweatshirts/jackets for evening. You can get a locker in the am if you dont need the jackets and come back for them when the sun goes down and it gets cooler. Unfourtunately this is not a time of year when you can try and pack lightly. You will enjoy this time, though and the crowds should be very light. We walked on to most everything and sometimes didnt have to get off because no one was waiting to board.

I was hoping for cooler temps. I have never been to DW this time of year. I have been in all of the hot months. I want to experience DW w/o sweating!!!

I am trying to decide what we need to wear on the 13th. We are going to MVMCP. We will be spending all day at MK. I don't want to run back to POP to get a jacket. But, I also don't want to carry one around all day either!

Any suggestions? I guess I could rent a locker and put our coats in that....how much are lockers?

Thanks...........Hope

We went that week last year too. We didn't bring enough jeans/pants. We only had what we wore down! It got cold!! The one night we were at Epcot and the wind was blowning we need sweatshirts and the kids wore little black cotton gloves. Plan for anything!!
Here's a photo from that night (sorry it's big!)

Wow, great reponses. From what I hear from you I agree that I will be packing a little bit of everything. Thanks
