End of May???

We are edging closer to buying some points, either at DCV or resale at VWL... Since my wife teaches, the end of May would be the time of year we would want to go.. Is that normally a tough time to get a ressie at 11 months???? How about to the VWL at 7 months????

We have gone end of May every year for the past 7 years. The past 3 have been as DVC. No problem getting BWV ressies. The only time we have had problems getting what we wanted as BWV was when I forgot or we decided late and tried to get ressies at 7 or less out. Even then, we can usually get ressies at OKW.

Jon...if VWL is the place you like best, you will definitely want to buy there. Not a lot of resales since they just finished selling out, but you are taking the right approach.

7 month ressies might not be tough now, but who knows what the future holds? Also, over the next 40 years you will probably want to go during high DVC usage months such as early December to see the awesome WL and VWL decorations. Vacation patterns may change over time.

Pick the place you like best and wait for a good value to buy there.

I just called this week and got 5 nights in a 2 bedroom at OKW right after the 4th of July, so only 3 months out.... I am not sure how it is VWL, never tried there.

Agree with Granny, buy where you want to spend your vacation.
