End of June-how bad?

We.re going the week of 6/23. From the guidebook and the boards I'm getting apprehensive. Are the crowds that bad i.e.1-2 hours per attraction? We plan on being there at openiing,staying till lunch,take a break and go back late afternoon about 4PM. Is it even worth it toi go back in the evening? Also,we're going with small childred 4 and 6.

We have gone that time of year many times and had a wonderful times -- lines aren't really a problem if you know what you're doing, but heat can be, depending on how hot you like it.

It's pretty hot! But we like it like that!

Our cardinal rules: We wouldn't be caught dead in a park - except maybe World Showcase if we're their for lunch - miday if you paid us to do it. We plan dinner at Epcot so that we are leaving after Illuminations are ended -- never ever try to leave Epcot when Illuminations let out. (or Fanasmic for that matter.) Take advatntage of EE and E ticket nights if there are any. Any other questions, feel free to ask!

Let me add one thing - we <b>never</b> wait even an hour for a ride even that time of year -- you just have to play it right.

We've gone that time of year and loved it. It does get VERY hot and humid and it does rain ALOT. Carry an umbrella - you'll need it - the rain ponchos only do so much in a downpour. The crowds are heavy, but Fastpass has really helped the long line problems. Even if you're not morning people, getting up early is worth it in the summer. You hit the parks at opening, get out of them by noon, have a nice air conditioned lunch, go to a waterpark or the hotel pool and you still have lots of time in the evening to tour the parks again if you want.

Summer horror stories run rampant, but we have come to love going to WDW then.
