End of July or mid-August???Help!!!

For those of you who go in the summertime, I need your opinions. Any big difference in the 2nd to last wk of July compared to the 2nd wk of Aug? Need to make ressies and cant decide which would be a better week for me and my 7yr old DD. Thanks for your help!!

I think mid-August will be less crowded. The weather will be pretty much the same, so that's not a factor.

We often arrive around August 10th or 12th and the crowds are manageable.

Definate difference in crowds! Still very busy in august, don't want you too think it will be empty. BUT in comparison definately worth the wait.

We usually go in august, and last year went july 22 till aug 10 the first part was packed and a definate change by time we left.

From what I understand ,the local kids are back in school by August...so therefore I think it would be less crowded then. My DD 9 and I would like to go down in mid August ...if a code comes out for that time !!!

Not that it necessarily would happen again this year, but remember one of the hurricanes came ashore in mid-August

ya but there wouldnt dare be a 2nd yr of hurricanes! they know Im coming!

(We had a vacation cancelled in 02, I had in the back of my mind that it may happen again in 03 but everything was fine)
