Why is the 2nd half of February the Magic Season? I would like to go from the 26th to March 1st. Is is super busy then? Thanks!

Historically (and not just for WDW), it is considered part of the prime Florida vacation season which starts the Friday before Presidents' Day (which at Disney is Presidents' Week and one of the more crowded weeks of the year). Presidents' Day is Feb 16 next year and thus from about the 13th to about the 21st will be very crowded. The time you are contemplating should not be bad at all except beginning about the 28th it will start getting somewhat more crowded because first week of March is usually a Canadian "spring break" time.

Lots of New England children have February vacation one of those weeks, with many heading south.

Those of us who live in the frozen tundra start to get darn sick of winter by mid-Febrary. Many people are surprised to find that the period from mid-February to Easter is generally higher demand for timeshares than summer, when Florida is miserably hot and the upper midwest is quite pleasant thankyouverymuch.

Except for President's Week, and Easter Weeks, though, the parks are relatively calm.

And don't forget about Mardi Gras vacations in the South - although with all the hurricanes in Louisiana this year, the school kiddies may not have too many vacation days left by Mardi Gras :sad2:

I'm not real sure when Mardi Gras is this year, but it is usually between mid-February and March.
