"ENCHANTED TALES with ROB" - A Birthday/Christmas DISer Celebration! **NEW TR LINK**

Ooohh Christmas Party! Cannot wait to see how you night went. Love you meet and greets with Pooh and Friends. That is cool that you got to meet Genie! At least it was not Abu. Have you ever met Abu? I have only seen pictures and he looks weird and creepy. LOL!

Great update and photos!

No need to rationalize a second party. Makes perfect sense to me.

Cute pics with the Cms! You all appear to be enjoying yourselves!

One cookie!? Seriously, you only had one cookie?

I tried to get all caught up on your report tonight, but alas, it is way WAY past my bedtime!

I love your early morning pictures of AoA and Pop. That is such a magical time at the resorts, before everyone starts stirring.

I can't believe you were a Magic Kingdom Bus newbie!

I have never been in the Grand Floridian, but I like your plan of making a trip there during the holidays. GORGEOUS!!!

My, what big trees they have. Are the resort trees real or reusable? Never thought of that before seeing your pictures here.

Main street looks beautiful all decked out. What a fantastic looking day for the parade performance taping!

Be Our Guest is stunning! You really captured the beauty and shared so many great details.

Thanks for sharing the hidden d***ie picture with us!

Personally, I don't think you have to have any kind of reasoning or logic to want to do a second party. Anyone who's gone to a special event at WDW knows how amazing they are and understands the need for extra time to take in all the themed activities. :goodvibes

It looks like you were able to do a decent amount before the fireworks, too. With it sold out, the wait times for things go up, especially the rare stuff like meeting Aladdin.

Disney made a great move by adding the Let it Go sequence to Celebrate the Magic. It gave me chills the first time I saw it, too. Definitely made me interested in seeing the film.

The castle as a Christmas tree is one of the best parts of Holiday Wishes. It's just such a great use of lighting and music. :thumbsup2

A new Frozen section... Shut up!! I love me some Let It Go and I'm super excited the movie will be out soon!! :))

I want to meet Genie!

Great castle pictures!!!

Officially subscribing - I just spent much of my work day catching up with what you have written so far. Rob, your writing is so enthusiatic and engaging, it makes me wish it was December now! I can't wait for more.

Great updates!!

I do have to agree, that lull between "park" time and "party" time is kinda weird! Great pictures around the park!!

Pooh & gang is fantastic!! Love that pooh & the gang were awesome, I always love meeting them, although I find when there's so many of them out there always tends to me someone missing on the action…ie..piglet & eeyore lol!

UGH, the fact that the cm's in the hub were so totally awesome is just so amazing, that is really what I do love about Disney. These past few trips I've gotten the chance to meet & hang out with so many fantastic cast members from all over the world and it's just so incredible that disney brings us all together like that!

I completely agree with this!

I love your party pictures. I have only been to Disney twice at Christmas time and I have only gone to the party once. I think they have made a lot of improvements since I attended. The decorations and all the lights look amazing. I am bummed that I won't be there during Christmas until 2015, but its never too early to start planning, right?

Great update and wonderful firework and castle pics. :thumbsup2

Right on!!! I certainly understand people not wanting to buy them, and it's totally fine if they don't, but that argument just makes no sense to me.

Thanks Mary Ellen. They really do a lovely job of making the park look extra festive during the party. And nope, NEVER too early to start planning.

Aww thanks!!

Great update. :)

Thanks so much Nikia!!

I've never been to a Halloween party (it's a travesty, I don't wanna talk about it :p) so I don't know how good the candy they give is, but I have to say I loooooved the cookies and hot chocolate. The cookies are SO GOOD.

I'm so glad you met Piglet, oh my gosh, I love him so much. I hate that you basically have to go to Crystal Palace or a party to meet him. Sigh.

Merry ChristWishes. :lmao: Perfect. I agree, it's a fantastic display. It sounds cheesy to say it puts you in the holiday spirit but I mean... it does. Hahah

No doubt Marissa, I loved them too. But the Halloween candy is pretty wicked. REAL brand name choco bars, gummies, etc. Just wicked awesome candy. And it is a travesty that you need to fix!!!!

Oh me toooooooo!!!!!! I hate that too, but on the other hand the parties need to have unique characters that you can't meet any other time. It just makes it more special.

Oh it absolutely does put you into the mood. It's perfection. They just need a new name is all. :p

YAY PARTY, and *spoiler alert* It was great. I was so happy to get all the Pooh gang and FINALLY Piglet. AND GENIE!!!!! Not gonna lie, I avoided Abu (I did see him) and had no interest in Alladin for some strange reason.

Thanks Annie.

I like the way you think!!

I really did enjoy it; they were all so great.

HAHA, no, just one picture. Believe me I had plenty more cookies!!

Haha, well, I sure do appreciate the effort Dee.

It really is the best time, just totally peaceful. And that morning in particular was glorious.

I know!!!! Crazy. But to be fair, this was only my second trip ever staying on site.

If you're gonna vist the GF, Christmas is the absolute time to do it. Of course, it will ruin it for other visits, but whatever.

Hmmmm, you know I have no idea. I never looked close enough. They are beautiful though, I can confirm that.

The day could not have been more perfect really. Still quite hot, but not overly so.

Thank you Dee, it was stunning. Easily the best QS location in all of Disney for ambiance.

Hehe, you're welcome!

Ha, thanks for the reassurance Alisha. I knew everyone here would understand the logic completely!

Oh yeah, I know the thought of a "Sold Out" party scares people, but it's still less people than a normal MK afternoon. You can still get plenty accomplished.

Absolutely. I have never had a song/sequence captivate me like that the very first time hearing/seeing it. It was instant love.

It's genius, pure and simple. That someone thought that up (and pulled it off) just blows my mind.

Great castle pictures!!!

OMG YES Marcie. It became instantly obsessed which has continued on.

Genie was a total priority. So glad I finally met him.

Aww thanks!!

And I am officially WELCOMING YOU!!! Thank you SO MUCH for joining in!!!! I sure do hope it was at least better than working, lol. You're going to love Christmas at Disney in just a mere 9 months. Believe me, the best is yet to come.

Great updates!!

Thanks Katt!!!

It really is. You have people coming in for the party, people leaving who don't have tickets, and just a mass of anticipation as the park changes over into party mode.

Always great. It's just a shame that there isn't more Piglet or Eeyore, but I guess that makes the party a little more special. And I'd never turn down an opportunity to meet the Pooh Bear and especially Tigger.

OMG Katt I couldn't agree more. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to really talk with them. Not just quick exchanges but real talk. The DCPers really do have that little extra enthusiasm that makes all the difference too. Well... You Know!!

Rob, too much to comment on since I had to go so far back to get caught up (namely, the beginning, except the intro.).

But, I will say that I laughed at "you always remember your first....Dismeet". Mine was with a guy named Marv, so I'm not sure what that says. Great job in having so many during your trip. It's a blast to meet the DIS-family, isn't it?!

The Tower of Terror ride picture -- I think the two ladies in the front have you beat on that one, they were pretty funny.

And yeah, Kellyann has some major head-tilt action going on for the pictures, but I'm sure that it was great talking with her and the other cast members. Interactions with cast members and other guests are some of the best parts of a Disney trip. :thumbsup2

That's ok Glenn. I'm just glad you're still here with me.

HAHA, yeah I had to be careful there. Oh my God Glenn, it's just the best. It really does blow my mind that going back about a year exactly now, I joined the board just to share in a little Disney appreciation. And less than a year later I was planning meetups with some of these people. And not just meetups, but extended meetups. It's so amazing to me even now.

That's why I love ride photos so much. Forget that you're in there too, it's the others that make it fun.

Does she ever!!! And she's not a righty or lefty, she always tilts "in". Honestly, it's those interactions that make all the difference in the world I think, and make WDW so special.

What a magical evening!! Christmas parties are so fun!

Great character choices! I love those scarves, guys! Agreed though, their outfits are so CUTE at the Halloween parties. I wish Genie wasn't so rare. He's so central to the story! How cool that you got to meet him!

Also, hello, those cast member party costumes?? I LOVE them! I'd totally wear it. I love that you chat with cast members. It really inspires me to do the same. You can never have too many disney friends. Those girls look simply adorable. I love the head tilt. How awesome to meet CMs who truly get the magic!

What a magical night you had! Cannot wait to hear more.

So far it was everything I'd hoped it would be Jennifer. It's interesting to tour a party solo.

The scarves were a really nice touch to at least make it a bit different. But my GOD those Halloween costumes. I know, why not more Genie? But, it does provide something unique for the party.

Seriously how cute are those outfits??? So festive! Generally, it's the CM's that start the conversations, but once it's on, it's on. I can't recommend it enough. These are the things I remember the most. They were so sweet and I can't thank them enough for keeping me company not only before the shows, but during as well. Plus the head tilt just royally cracked me up!!

CHARACTER MEETS AND HOLIDAY TREATS, THAT'S WHAT MVMCP IS MADE OF
Day 4 – December 6, 2013 Part 5

After an amazing Merry ChristWishes, I still had a couple more things on my Must Do MVMCP list.

Frontierland would be the first stop.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved Big Al; Frankly it borders on obsession.
It really came from my Grandfather who would be content to sit and watch the Country Bears all day, over and over.
My father and uncles all picked up on that love too and well, so did I.
Honestly, “Blood on the Saddle” was as common a song of my childhood as “The Alphabet Song” or "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".

Add in the fact that it’s voiced by Tex Ritter, father to John Ritter, who’s one of my favourite all time actors,
Well, it just creates the perfect storm of love.
When I heard that the Country Bears would be meeting at MVMCP, I was ecstatic with a capital HOLY S***!!!

I'd already met the Dwarfs at a MNSSHP, and meeting the princes doesn’t have much appeal to me for some reason.
I guess I just have no interest in meeting a beautiful princess only to be reminded that she’s already spoken for.
I get enough of that in real life... I don't need it in Disney.

But a clearly drunken, overweight, morbid song singing bear… Oh Yeah, THAT was critically important.

I arrived at the greeting area giddy as a schoolgirl, and jumped into the relatively short line.
Why this line doesn't extend all the way out to the I-4, I have no idea, but I was grateful.
In no time at all, I was finally meeting my favourite singing bear and some of his other buddies too.

And folks, this really was a lifelong Disney dream fulfilled.

I quickly realized that it was getting very close to the second parade, so I knew that spots would be hard to come by, even for a solo act.
Even though I’m not a parade guy in general, I thoroughly enjoy the Party parades.
I didn't spot any front row spots, but I did find a ledge in Liberty Square that at least afforded me some extra height.
And arriving fashionably late, I didn’t have to wait long at all before the parade rounded the corner.

Chip and Dale’s snowball fight is a true highlight of this parade for me. Epic cuteness abounds.

I do prefer these people when they’re “dead”.

And of course, the Big Man closed it all out.

While this parade isn’t quite Boo To You level awesome, it is certainly still an enjoyable collection of Disney and Christmas.

Day 4 – December 6, 2013 Part 5 continued

Despite the last minute decision to attend, I really enjoyed the party.
I had accomplished all my major goals of the parade and fireworks and my must do Meet and Greets.
I was also secure in the knowledge that I had another party just a few days away which would actually top this one.

Before heading out, I caught a bit of the last Celebrate the Season show, which I quite enjoyed, although my pictures were pretty awful.

195.jpg

When the show was over, I made my way slowly down Main Street towards the exit.
I always take this walk slowly, but on this night it was even more important.
I hadn’t spent any time on Main Street all night, so I really wanted to take it in, in all its Christmas gloriousness.

I don't know that there is anything more beautiful than Main Street USA at night, complete with falling snoap.
It's gorgeous and festive... and with a little water you can clean yourself right up after a long day.

Thankfully, after the coming weekend, the camera risers would finally be gone and the tree put in place.
PLUS the over the street wreaths would FINALLY be up in time for my next party.
While all the taping stuff is fascinating, I was looking forward to getting my Magic Kingdom back.

200.jpg

But regardless, the place was still stunning anyway.

201.jpg

202.jpg

203.jpg

Before departing, I headed up to the Train Station for one last magical MVMCP photo.

204.jpg

The one big benefit of the taping setup was there was nothing blocking the view down Main Street (no tree, no flag pole).

205.jpg

I would have stayed in that spot forever if they’d let me, but I had a BIG day coming up so I needed to get rested…

… A day that would end with something I had been looking forward to for months...

And provided me with one of the best evenings of my Disney life.

UP NEXT… HAVIN' A WILD (CHRISTMAS) TIME; BY LAND AND BY... LAGOON?

Yay!! Another update!! I would like to suggest that all of dis contribute to more trips for you so you can write more reports!! I love the country bears also. It's a must do for me!

Ok, MVMCP > MNSSHP... just kidding, I won't do that again! :rotfl2:
Awww I LOVE the Country Bears meet!! So awesome!
Love the parade pictures, Chip and Dale have really got the best float. I always want to get up and build a snow man with them!

I don't know that there is anything more beautiful than Main Street USA at night, complete with falling snoap.
This is funny, but also SO accurate. :rotfl2:
