I agree to the steroids comment. Been to it 4-5 times. Kids were always in the show. Once as beast so that child got to dance with her. The other child was a bit upset that she was not chosen but it was a good lessen. Other roles usually have at least some minimum interaction with Belle. Pictures after. My kids are really not shy though.

The best Belle interaction is the Akershus breakfast / dinner with the princesses. You get a commemorative photo with Belle ( unless they've changed that since our last visit) or meal at CRT.

Belle is no longer at CRT. She was replaced by Jasmine.
