This will be a new attraction for us. I have a few questions. If my child or an adult from our part wants to participate in the "show" how likely is it that they will get to? How many people are let in each time? I had read that only people that participate in the show get to have their picture made with Belle at the end. Is this true? I would just like some more information so we know what to expect.

Thanks!

If you volunteer for a part in the show, it is likely that you will get it. From what I've seen, a lot of people are shy and don't want to volunteer, so if someone steps up, they typically get to participate. In my case, being a 6'1'' guy with a beard, I've seen the show 4 times, been a part of the show 3 of those 4 times, and volunteered ZERO times. If you have a tall male in the room, they'll likely be asked to be a Suit of Armor. After all of the main parts are given out, they'll ask the room if there are any other guests that want to participate. They'll be given the role of various dishes and silverware for the Be Our Guest segment. I'm not CERTAIN about the picture.. Like I said, I'm almost always asked to be in the show, we get a picture, and then we leave, so I don't know if they let other guests stick around for a picture.

Overall, this is one of the most underrated attractions in the park. The show is a lot of fun and the special effects are off the charts. Disney did a great job with this one.

They currently let any child who would like to participate do so. They have "extra" parts to allow for that. Belle does not take pictures with adults who do not participate, but we have done this twice and both times they had all the children who wanted to, even if they weren't "in" the show, join the little parade at the end. Each participant and all of the other children were then photographed. They do not generally take pictures of adults who don't participate.

If an adult wants a picture taken, they will often do it. B&B is my wife's favorite Disney story and she wanted a Belle picture taken with her. She asked and she got one.

If your child wants to participate I believe they will be able to. Adult roles are guards and possibly other roles? Not sure!

It's a sweet little show and different each time as the children's personalities add to the show.

Enjoy!!

Everyone who wants to be in the show will be given a part. You just have to volunteer. All of the children in the show will definitely get their picture taken with Belle. I have seen them take pictures of the adults in the show too. I believe if you ask to have your picture taken with Belle they would probably do it depending on how busy it is. Last time we went they gave everyone in the audience a Photopass card of that show. I don't know if the still do that or not.

I volunteered, they ignored me. Evn for the extras. At that point I was too embarrassed to make ny bigger of a deal about it.

Thanks for asking this! I was wondering too - cannot wait to experience it with my kids!!

One year ago next week both my kids got to participate. My DD (age 6) was the Beast and my DS (age 2) was Chip.
I think my DD was chosen because she had done BBB that day and was in her Belle dress. My DS was up there with her and they usually pick someone small to be Chip. It was awesome! One of my favorite memories of the trip. Belle spent several minutes talking to my son and the whole audience was 'awwing' at how cute he was. One example, he got the bookmark and looked at it, then looked at Belle and said 'That's you!' She said he was very observant. He was also carrying an Elsa/Anna 2 sided doll and he was showing Belle how you flip it over to get from one to the other. I wish I had my husband's record it. My major regret.

What is the average age span of kids participating in this? My pre-teen would probably love it but gets shy because she is older...

Thank you for all of the quick replies! My daughter will be about 4 1/2 on our trip. I am really looking forward to this attraction as Belle is my favorite from my childhood! I had the cassette tape of the soundtrack!

Every single child In The showing we went to got to participate. They first pick the major parts, my son got Maurice and my youngest daughter was Chip, and then after they have all kinds of dishs and table decorations for the other kids (my middle child was a pepper shaker). I'm sure your kids will get to participate if they want to.

I believe there was a child or two that was in the 10-13 age range in the play we saw. The girl who played Besst was the oldest in the group (other than the two Dads who were knights)

Tall adult females looking vaguely like they are trying might get to be a suit of armour too.

Are there Photo Pass photographers for those that get photos with Belle at the end?

When I was there last week, they even asked adults if they wanted any parts. This was later at night, but after all major parts were filled if an adult volunteered for a part they got it. I volunteered and was the dog who turned into the foot stool. I got my picture with Belle at the end.

We also went at night, and it was great. Everyone who wanted a part got one, including adults. All participants, including adults, got PP pictures taken and a bookmark signed by Belle.

Personally, as an adult, I had no interest in participating in the show. The main appeal for adults are the effects and the AMAZING animatronics (Lumiere is stunning).
