Encanto ride and Colombia in the world showcase

Is Disney going to do what Josh Gad suggest? It doesn’t have to be in world showcase or replace a existing country? It can be in that new area where Moana will be in . Expand world showcase into future world since GOTG is going to be there. Disney purists won’t mind since they prefer building new things instead of replacing or re theming rides . The new land could have stores and Columbia cuisine? It could have also a rainforest ride like the original Disney imagineers wanted for Brazil?

They have the room to add in the WS proper. There are some unused expansion pads. I'd be all for it, personally!

I was looking at the World Showcase and thinking, hmmmm.... could they expand it somewhere and add more countries? So I went to Google Maps and looked at between Germany and China.... could, but there's a lot of behind-the-scene buildings and parking lots they would have to move. What about behind Canada? If there was a tram ride, or something there is a lot of extra land there.... then I looked futher....

What is that area in the upper-left of my map? It looks like something's being built near that large Mickey-shaped array of solar panels?

I'll be all for it as long as they make it it's own thing and not a mix with Moana, there is literally miles of oceans between those 2 countries. Like, whole continents even xD

We could use some South American representation in the World Showcase, so I'd be all for it. I had been hoping for Brazil (steak and caipirinhas!).

I agree, though usually the pavillions were created through cooperation with the country's government. I don't know that a lot of South American countries are in a position to sponsor a project like that. Brazil i sthe most likely one that gets bandied about. I would definitely welcom Brazil or Colombia though - I think it would be great.

Disney could always add soem Encanto in another way. The music is a big, big hit so they could implement a sing along show or something like that. I'd really love to see the house built though - that would be so amazing!

IPs that support the country they take place in are a great idea. Frozen IS NOT a good example of that of course. I think Encanto is very pro Colombia so would be a perfect fit.

Well, kinda. It's set in Arendelle, a fictional kingdom, though it is heavily based on Norway. I think it "fits" just fine personally, though not all agree.

I would love to see a Colombia pavilion with an Encanto attraction. While I understand not everyone is a fan of IP in WS, I think it's actually a great way to get kids interested in exploring various cultures. Being able to relate their favorite characters to real places and cultures, it makes it extra fun for them and gets them interested and invested in a new way.

I don't need to have the whole country in WS but an Encanto ride would be cool! I think there are more interesting looking countries that could be added to WS like Russia or Greece.

I agree. I wouldn't want the whole pavilion to be Encanto themed, but a Colombia Pavilion with an Encanto ride? I have no issues with that whatsoever.

to be frank, i was against this too, but i however would love for the Mexico boat ride to be overlaid with "Coco". it would be flat out amazing.

I think if it can be done in a way that still showcases the country, then i'm all for it.

I was thinking the same thing. Also, would love to see Coco replace the Three Amigos. I mean, C'mon I know we all love nostalgia but, that ride is really in need of at least and update. Sometimes it's only the Two Amigos.

TBH I'm so tired of European countries always being showcased in things like this. Give me new cultures please, out of 11 "countries" in the showcase 5 are European, 2 are Asian, 2 are North American, 1 is African and 1 is Latin American. We could use a little variety away from even more European countries me thinks.

Nothing against Russia or Greece, I'm the biggest Greece fan but yeah haha
